To think most people at the immigration protests and putting up flags are men and chavvy men at that?

I barely see any women doing any of this. Certainly at the protest near me each weekend, there are about twenty people and only two are women of what I can see. They all are of a certain ilk.

OP posts:
DecorativeMermaid · 10/10/2025 20:36

The certain ilk being racists.

Summerhillsquare · 10/10/2025 21:06

Oof don your hard hat OP.

A certain class, yes, the poorest and most excluded. Our protests had a gaggle of the professional fascists (with faces covered) off to the side, the sort of guys who are familiar to the anti fascist campaigners up and down the country. They do the agitating, organising, channel funding etc.

Keroppi · 10/10/2025 21:12

I think the ones who are putting up flags are probably the ones who are comfortable being seen/vocal in their own towns - so probably the same chaps, yes.
But the Southport protests had lots of women visible. Suppose it depends if you live in a big city or not?

The least intelligent are the easiest to manipulate.

And that’s how our Universities work, and why now we have the Lanyard Class

Slightyamusedandsilly · 10/10/2025 21:28

Yup. The British equivalent of Trump supporters wearing sanitary pad on their ear to denote support for their supposedly shot-at leader.

There is a reason around 48% of Reform protesters (the male ones, obvs) have some sort of conviction for violence.

I wouldn't say poorest and most excluded. All the men I know who voted reform are self-employed tradesmen who earn at least double the national average but avoid paying tax on a lot of it, because obviously they care so much about their country 🙄

EchoedSilence · 10/10/2025 21:32

I don't really like the word 'chav' but I agree the flag shaggers are mostly thick men.

Greenmouldycheese · 10/10/2025 21:40

This again? People of all walks of life are are behind this. Trying to paint them all in a negative light won't do a thing to stop it either. Try another.

Ablondiebutagoody · 10/10/2025 21:48

They are the people most affected by this stuff. Poorer people living in the poorer areas where we shove the majority of the migrants.

MrsFantastic · 10/10/2025 21:49

What a load of snobs on here.

Fantomflangeflinger · 10/10/2025 21:53

Middle class people have more to lose if they are out protesting, does not mean they do not agree with the sentiments.

Agree many of the protesters are rough but they feel they are losing out and do not want illegal immigration and that’s their right to an opinion.

My parents were immigrants btw.

LaurieFairyCake · 10/10/2025 21:58

Yes, Gammon.

Chinsupmeloves · 10/10/2025 22:04

You may actually be surprised at the amount of non 'chav males' who are instigating and supporting this, also immigrants who haved integrated into the UK. Katie Hopkins and other middle class pioneers?

The media of illegal immigration is the same media which portrays 'thugs' putting up flags. Really think about it, what is reported in mainstream news...

Jamesblonde2 · 10/10/2025 22:11

I am degree educated and agree with their views. I just can’t be bothered to go out protesting as I have things to do. But good for them that they’re not being quiet about it.

Hohumhuee · 10/10/2025 22:12

More men are up the ladders? You don’t say. I wonder what the ratio of men to women putting up the Palestine flags are?
The hardest hit with the least opportunity to be heard are making their voices heard in a different way? I’m shocked.
Denying any group of people the opportunity to be heard is usually a mistake

Yes, Gammon.

Racist are you?

Absolutely this.

It will be coming to the middle class Home Counties soon enough. They will soon change their tune when it starts affecting them, too.

I agree .
the visible ones are the rough men but you also have the pink ladies . But behind these are a lot of middle class people , my friends , who support reform . You can call them all the names you like but there is a definite shift away from liberalism.

I’m a high earner and agree with the views of the protestors. I don’t think it will land at my door, but I’m sick of my tax being spend on dealing with illegal immigrants.

ForPearlViper · 10/10/2025 22:19

I hate the immigration protests but I also think that those who protest and those who are judgemental and call other humans "chavvy" are cut from the same cloth.

Shegotanology · 10/10/2025 22:21

Apparently, they're the best Britain has to offer.

Racist are you?

‘Gammon’ is a race now? Wow. Who knew.

I despise gammon (and it’s even worse with pineapple on it)

Am I a racist or a gammonist?

Paddington5 · 10/10/2025 22:34

I’m with the protesters - this is like the Scottish Referendum where it was assumed all Scots wanted independence and Brexit where of course no one will vote to leave the EU and now, the only protesters are chavvy racists - I can’t wait til the next election ….

Just an annoyance
