With wanting to buy a bunch of flowers for less than 10 pounds

Having a friend to stay for the weekend and want to place a vase of flowers in her room.

You can't seem to get anything worthwhile delivered for less than 50 quid.

Marks and Spencer used to do beautiful bunches of flowers in a glass vase, can you still get these?

Just buy some from the supermarket.

Ribenafan98 · 08/10/2025 20:31

Every supermarket does flowers for less than a tenner?

HermioneWeasley · 08/10/2025 20:32

Can’t you get to a supermarket?

HappyToSmile · 08/10/2025 20:33

Lidl, Tesco and Waitrose all do many decent bunches for less than £10!!

Mumdiva99 · 08/10/2025 20:35

I've got 2 beautiful bunches of gladioli in a vase on the mantlepiece. They cost £3 (total) on Sunday in the local co-op. Reduced. But would have been £6 full price.

toomuchfaff · 08/10/2025 20:35

Go to Aldi, Tesco, Asda... plenty of beautiful flowers without delivery.

ComtesseDeSpair · 08/10/2025 20:36

Sunflowers are always a good bet, bright and cheerful, and currently in Aldi and Sainsbury’s (and probably other supermarkets, I just haven’t been in any) for £5-7. Most supermarkets do decent flowers.

NamelessNancy · 08/10/2025 20:40

I fairly often get a bunch with my Morrisons delivery. Usually about £5. I might stretch to £8ish if I'm feeling swish.

Gladioli are the best supermarket flower IMO - so dramatic, £3 a bunch.

Where can you get better value than that in this day and age.

codenamelister · 08/10/2025 21:31

Morrisons bouquets are lovely. I got a beautiful bunch for £8 and they lasted for ages!

JurassicPark4Eva · 08/10/2025 21:32

Go to Lidl. Bunch of roses for £5. Other flowers for less.

user1476613140 · 08/10/2025 21:33

Lidl.

Where on earth do you live where there is only M&S and Waitrose? Genuinely interested in the answer

Mumdiva99 · 08/10/2025 22:11

Remember these have flowered more in the last few days. I the shop they were very green.

Waitrose and M&S both have great flowers. You will find something. Go for the single variety bunches as they are cheaper. Roses are usually beautiful and affordable and look great in most cases.

Don't be scared to cut the flowers right down to fit your vase.

Also - I had some sunflowers in July and they were beautiful after a few days. (Maybe a bit late for them now).

summerlovingvibes · 08/10/2025 22:23

I love the gladioli that are around at the moment and they are always soooo cheap. I know you said only M&S etc but I wouldn't expect to pay more than about £3.50 for a bunch. You'll need 2. Cut them short enough if they look too long

samplesalequeen · 08/10/2025 22:24

Lidl do roses for less than £3. Buy 3 of them and you’ll have a lovely bunch

There are bountiful under £10 options at both of those places 🤗

justasking111 · 08/10/2025 22:30

@PeggySue1988 do you not have a vase. You can use any china or glass really

I have had a bunch of Sunflowers from M&S for i think £7. They flowered for about 2 weeks as well, amazing

Nothavingagoodvalentinesday · 17/02/2026 00:39

Buy some daffodils. There’s nothing livelier for February.

Nothavingagoodvalentinesday · 17/02/2026 00:40

Lovelier.
