I’ve been to the Rockies. We arrived in Calgary then travelled for three weeks before returning to Calgary and flying home. The lakes are breathtakingly beautiful. You tend to assume that the photos have been doctored to make the water that blue, but it genuinely is, even when you’re close up. The Icefields Parkway, Jasper, Banff, Athabasca falls, all stunning. It all feels very safe. Loads of wildlife (black bears, deer etc, that you did have to be very cautious around; lots of people getting out of their cars and trying to get close for photos 🤦♀️) If you have the chance to go, it’s definitely worth the trip.
My favourite places I’ve ever been are a beach I don’t even know the name of in Wales, not far from St Davids, Brixham in Devon and London (I know it’s dirty and smelly and crowded and noisy and expensive, but I think it’s the best city in the world. Far better than Paris or Rome, which are both lovely, but not London). My least favourite places were Montana and Turin.
I’d very much like to go to Cornwall, more of Italy, Greece, anywhere I could see the Northern Lights and whale watching, I’d also like to explore a bit of America, but that would be a lottery win.
