AIBU to be annoyed that Vinted sellers aren’t selecting InPost lockers anymore

When I first started buying from Vinted, I could often select the option to have stuff delivered to the InPost lockers. That’s by far the most convenient for me. Now it seems that the only delivery option is Evri - to be collected from the local Post Office. The PO has one counter open, always long queues, and obviously only open 9-5 during the week. I went on Saturday morning and there 9 people in front, all with parcels. I could select Evri home delivery, but that a) costs more and b) there’s not usually anyone home to receive the package.
Does anyone know why things changed on Vinted?

The problem with InPost is the lockers are often full and especially here you don’t get long to collect. I think it’s only a couple of days.

Givenupghost · 07/10/2025 11:02

As a seller I won't use In Post because the lockers are always full so I can't send things. I have to drive 10 mins to them and for 1 parcel I was selling for under £3 i had to make 3 trips to get a locker, cost me more in fuel!

PissahNF · 07/10/2025 11:08

I only click evri as its more convenient for me to get to when dropping off and picking up.
You want to do what's easy for you but others want to do whats easy for them.

Is the local PO the only nearby option for collection? Any local shops that do Evri?

kiwiane · 07/10/2025 11:31

I have Evri Inpost and PO as options as they’re all local to me; inpost lockers have been full and then I need to wait or find a different one so it’s more hassle. I do like them for collection though as I don’t need to wait for the shops to be open.

peraonally it’s because our inpost lockers are wither always full or out of order. There is only one in the town I live and if that’s down it’s a 10 mile drive to the next (which is then invariably full). It’s not convenient if I’m wasting time and money to post something I sold for a couple of quid.

phoenixrosehere · 07/10/2025 11:54

I do all of the different posts. They’re all within 15 minutes walk from me.

I did have the issue with the Inpost lockers being full but I check the app to see where lockers are available and go to the nearest one that has boxes available. However, a Premier shop opened months ago that does InPost ( no lockers) so just a 10
min walk now, however they close at 9pm.

The one that I rarely have been ordered to post for is Royal Mail.

Yes, the only Evri collection option showing is the PO, despite there being a local shop that handles Evri deliveries.

Aw I love the lockers
I have the app and use them to send packages all the time now

PrawnAgain · 07/10/2025 19:39

I check the app too but they filll up on my way there
Very frustrating 😑

I tried to find my delivery preference settings recently and couldn’t, previously they were obvious and easy to amend. It’s the gradual shittification of Vinted and it makes me sad.

drspouse · 07/10/2025 19:54

I picked InPost once and they only keep it for 2 days rather than the 5 days the others keep it so I will never select it again. I voted YABU.

Fairydusthello · 07/10/2025 19:56

I believe there was a problem with Inpost, the deliveries were taking ages, so I think Vinted have paused this option for now.

AMiddleClassWomanOfACertainAge · 07/10/2025 20:14

I sell more than buy and only offer Royal Mail. IME other carriers have been unreliable and there are so many horror stories about digital labels atm I’m not bothered if I don’t sell because of the postage options. I’d rather that than deal with the hassle otherwise.

boxofbuttons · 07/10/2025 20:19

I don't buy if I can't change it to InPost as it's the only one convenient for me, but most of my sales are through Evri nowadays it seems (which is a massive pain in the arse) after they all used to be via InPost locks. Lots of horror stories about InPost but I've never had an issue with them so I'm assuming I've just been very lucky - I've had more hassle with the odd one I did in the past via Post Office.

Skybluepinky · 07/10/2025 20:43

Most are full so a complete pain in the bum, easy for you not for others.

CcCcSs · 13/10/2025 06:18

It's driving me crazy too. I have 3 very local inpost locker locations near me. The convenience is brilliant. When I select evri store collection I can be stood waiting ages for the shopkeeper to look through every parcel as they're just in a heap. Home delivery obviously bumps the price up. It's very frustrating. (Wakefield- West Yorks).

Yes, the only Evri collection option showing is the PO, despite there being a local shop that handles Evri deliveries.

I’ve found this recently, the evri stores I can send from are not the evri stores I can collect from. I can collect from the Tesco express but not send, I can send from the spar but not collect, the post office does both but it’s not convenient to get to…

Last month I had two sellers cancel my sale after I picked InPost and another two that just didn’t send. I’ve had one problem with InPost where I received the wrong parcel and there was no resolution because it was impossible for either me or the seller to get hold of an actual human. I’ve had far more issues with evri! Impossible to get hold of actual humans there too.

Strawberry53 · 13/10/2025 06:47

I used to use inpost when selling but the locker is quite far away and it became a hassle. They also give such a tiny window for collection which gets on my nerves. Is there not a local shop that takes Evri parcels near you? Might be less of a queue? Personally I’ve started sucking it up and paying the fee extra pence for home delivery…if you have a safe space outside they could leave it there?

MidnightMeltdown · 09/11/2025 17:20

There was a shop near me that used to take InPost parcels which made it convenient to send. However, they’ve recently stopped taking them, so the only option now is to post via the lockers. I’m not willing to do that as they are always full, and I don’t have the time to keep checking them, so InPost are now off my Vinted list for selling.

In my experience, InPost lockers are convenient for collecting parcels, but very inconvenient for posting. This is a mistake for the business as it’s sellers who select the postage method and they are not going to select methods which make it hard to post.
