Just catching up when they’re at the first commitment ceremony and I feel sorry for Sarah with the way the ‘experts’ went on at her for being disrespectful etc…

I felt sorry for her during this episode as they made her feel so small for saying Dean gives her the ick with all the singing and performing but she was telling her fellow contestants. They said she was disrespectful but I think she’s just being honest as she doesn’t fancy him.

Anyone that’s seen it feel they weren’t fair on Sarah?

What really annoys me is she knows her type is someone with ‘loads of tattoos and looks like they may of just got out of prison’ and it’s not gone well for her. She asked specifically to be match with someone not like that. She’s literally got what she asked for! I wish someone would remind her she said she wanted someone different to her normal type.

i hate all the face pulling etc but that is probs in the edit and he is annoying! I would hate all the rapping!! I imagine he’s awesome to have as a mate and see in small doses but living together would grate!

There's a difference between being honest about lack of attraction and being nasty about it she was the latter. She didn't need to make jokes and jibes about what she doesn't find attractive about him all she had to say is "He's a very nice man but personally I don't find him attractive" and left it at that. I'm glad she was held accountable for what she said.

Honesty is "I'm just not attracted to him. I find his rapping and singing too much. Physically he isn't ticking my boxes". Sarah's approach was "he's fat, gives me the ick, he's like a care bear" to a small group that he is part of. It wasn't cool, and strayed into the territory that you say you find wrong with other couples.

If Sarah doesn't want to be in a relationship with Dean, she shouldn't feel obligated to. She should just write leave and go (don't get me started on having to stay a week after writing leave).

Eh! I’m clearly not the only one that thinks she’s been received and treated harshly. It’s called having a different opinion and ours clearly differ. I could say the same about your views about being obtuse, in that you can’t at all see why the be kind shight is problematic. Poor woman is probably terrified to say anything.

I see where you're coming from. I bet she'd been keeping everything in for a week and it all came out, albeit inappropriately at times. I do agree that we need to hold up gender comparisons but let's also not forget the rapport and false sense of security that the producers and cameramen/women build up so that when a question's asked, someone is honest rather than diplomatic. After all these people are making TV, create these traps then vilify people when they fall into them! It's very uncomfortable to watch. She's obviously been tactless and disrespectful at times but now she obviously can't express how she really feels and being is guilted into going beyond what she's comfortable with to please the experts. Being pressured into that to be seen as more accepting is plain wrong as well.

You can almost see some of the edits. Sarah didn't say anything malicious about the bloke she's stuck with. Just honest. He has been 'poor meeing' since he got there. As he said himself, when he lost weight he was horrible. Being fat will just make him horrible with added fat.
Gaslighty horror of a man and his friend was no better. Sarah's friend should have been telling her to write leave in huge block letters.
Dean should have left when she allegedly 'dissed' him the second time. Firmly team Sarah here.

Yes, it's bloody weird. They do it every year. It's a step too far, way too far. Nobody should be foisted onto another, especially if it is for entertainment. It's pretty abusive pressure really and they should be called up on it.

I have to forgive the face pulling, because I do it. It's not on purpose at all, it's just completely reactive and I can't control it.
