Nearly 500 arrested for support for Palestinian Action Group a proscribed terrorist organisation

This is getting ridiculous. The same group, think they can do what they want which includes, using a sledgehammer to attack a person, breaking into a military base and causing millions of pounds worth of damage. Hatred towards Jewish people.

It appears these people feel the law doesn't apply to them. None of the above is peaceful protest. Stronger sentences or fines are needed.

What do you mean by this? Could you clearly spell out what I think you are hinting at because I’m not 100%

MPs should, in my opinion, have had three separate votes:

  1. Maniacs Murder Cult
  2. Russian Imperial Movement
  3. Palestine Action

They are the same people. It’s no coincidence that extinction rebellion has gone quiet since these protests have started and if by some miracle a peace deal is made they’ll go back to blocking roads until the next cause is decided.

Well that explains a lot. Just some rent-a-mob nutters with nothing better to do.

ohdelay · 05/10/2025 09:57

They should be paying for that plane and serving prison time under military conditions. It beggars belief in an age where we are proxy warring with Russia, China and Iran openly and espionage is sky high, homegrown numbskulls will deliberately highlight how defensively unready we are by scooting into an air base and damaging military equipment. Then more numbskulls cheer them on and cause costly disruption every weekend across all the major cities. Financial penalties focus the mind more than arrests.

Do you think they are the same group? To be fair, I haven't seen a just stop oil blockade the streets for a while

They are the same group, all affiliated with "Defend our Juries" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defend_Our_Juries. They love a thicko slogan.

I do think there should be a huge fine against the organisation for the damage to the airbase. Breaking into an airbase was criminal action again. The assault with a sledgehammer was also awful. It achieves nothing good.

Of course they are. That’s why they hide their faces because people will accuse them of being paid protestors. If they care about their cause so much where have they gone? Busy jumping on whatever bandwagon they can.

DottieMoon · 05/10/2025 09:59

Protesting against a genocide is not hatred towards Jewish people. It’s disgusting how so many ignorant people are trying to push that my protesting against the genocide of nearly two million people is antisemitic.
What happened in Manchester’s horrific, Jewish people should be targeted or feel threatened because of Israel’s actions but for the UK to weaponise the murders in Manchester. They are two separate things.

Has the Israeli government held off on killings as a mark of respect to the dead children?

BS, what these guys are doing is supporting a terrorist organisation. What Israel are doing is destroying a terrorist organisation. I don't understand why this isn't obvious.

I don’t think British Jewish people should be intimidated for the actions of Netanyahu’s government.

ThatCyanCat · 05/10/2025 10:02

There are plenty of other pro Palestinian organisations one can join and support, which don't carry out terrorist attacks. People who make a point of supporting one that does are simply showing their true priorities, much like those who call for an end to what they call a genocide but ignore the peace plan on the table to do just that. It's marching in the wake of antisemitic murders bad, but not accept the peace plan bad, apparently.

I don't care that some of them are older. That just makes them even more foolish than the young ones.

Butchyrestingface · 05/10/2025 10:02

NototerrorismIntheUK · 05/10/2025 09:19

They seems hate filled but only have compassion for their cause. None for Jewish people, none for people including children who are dying around the world anywhere but Gaza. None at all for others, it feels like a cult.

How on earth can you know where else the sympathies of other people on the marches may lie? Did you canvass them?

If I go attend a 'Free the Israeli hostages' march next weekend, does that mean I'm obsessed, one-tracked minded, lacking in concern for children dying around the world?

“The calculated use of violence or threat of violence to inculcate fear. Terrorism is intended to coerce or intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.” Oxford Dictionary.

Isn’t that what Netanyahu is doing? I’m not going to say Israel because so many Israelis oppose his actions.

MrsFinkelstein · 05/10/2025 10:06

I think the idea of fining those arrested is a great idea. They're absolutely wasting Police time on this.

I despise Netanyahu and his Govt and think he should be arrested. I also despise Hamas and feel a 2 state solution is probably the only feasible long term solution.

I also despise these marches. They are inherently anti-Semitic and do nothing but incite more unrest. More importantly, they achieve absolutely nothing. Same as that aid flotilla that has little to no room for actual aid.

You're the ignorant one, and a useful idiot spreading hamas propaganda. Also, you said "jewish people should be targeted", Freudian slip?

GAZA, 6 September 2025 – At least one Palestinian child has been killed every hour on average by Israeli forces in Gaza over nearly 23 months of war, with the number of children killed now surpassing 20,000, Save the Children said.

The latest data released by the Government Media Office in Gaza showed at least 20,000 children - about 2% of Gaza’s child population - have been killed since October 2023.
At least 1,009 of the children killed were under age one, with nearly half (450) of these babies born and killed during the war. At least 42,011 children have been injured, according to the Ministry of Health, with the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities reporting at least 21,000 children left permanently disabled. Thousands more are missing or presumed buried under rubble.

After 23 months of war, the lives of surviving children are at risk daily. The famine in Gaza Governorate is likely to spread in the coming weeks with over a million people, about half of whom are children, already facing catastrophic hunger, the worst-case IPC Phase 5. At least 132,000 children aged under five face risk of death from acute malnutrition, and at least 135 children have already starved to death, 20 of them since famine was declared on 22 August, according to the Ministry of Health.

Are we going to proscribe Save The Children as terrorists for stating the facts?

Ok but they didn’t and your point isn’t still clear.

I think you are trying to say that you don’t think Palestine Action is a terrorist group and that it was only defined as such because it was put in the same vote as groups which you do believe are unequivocally terrorist and MPs had no choice but to vote that way? And if they were separate votes there would have been a different outcome? Why and who would put a benign group in with two terrorist groups?

These protestors are not helping anyone and judging by how they damaged environmental causes with their previous actions I honestly think they are not who they say they are.

The police should be diverting their resources to protecting synagogues, not arresting people holding pieces of cardboard.
