Please no pro Palestine marches tomorrow

1000 replies

NototerrorismIntheUK · 03/10/2025 15:15

The police and others have called out in the hope that there will be no pro Palestine marches tomorrow. They are stretched and say it will divert resources from trying to protect the Jewish people following the terrorist attack yesterday.

I agree. No march tomorrow AIBU?

Who's the leader of the Jews?

clipboardz · 03/10/2025 16:55

If Jews are suffering due to the actions of their leader.... then that's no different to the Palestinian people is it?

@Paganpentacle do you know who is in charge of the UK?

JollyLilacBee · 03/10/2025 16:55

For those who think the marches should be banned, be mindful that there are people on here, myself included, that have lost friends and family in Palestine. My friend from uni is there, though we now haven’t heard from her for 3 months, so we presume she is dead. She is/was a doctor, as was her husband who was murdered early on in the genocide. Her 9 year old son was shot in the head by an Israeli sniper, her 5 year old witnessed it and stopped speaking that day.

I suggest people watch some of the live streaming on instagram to see what the protests are actually about

Who's the leader of the Jews?

Prime minister or whatever his title. No need for pedantry- you know exactly what I mean. The one doing all the bombing and the one charged with war crimes.....

clipboardz · 03/10/2025 16:56

@JollyLilacBee do you think it's an outrageous ask to not have the marches on one weekend?

I don't want the marches banned.

ParmaVioletTea · 03/10/2025 16:57

YouveGotNoBloodyIdea · 03/10/2025 15:18

they were not only marching in Brighton last night, they were dancing in the street. Sickening.

This has to stop.

I'm almost a free speech absolutist, but that is disgusting. I can see the point of Reform when I see stuff like that.

No, I want to know. You're talking about Jews and you appear to be implying it's ok to kill them because of the war in Gaza, and because of their leader. So give me the name. Who is the leader of The Jews, wherever they reside?

HarrietPierce · 03/10/2025 16:58

Paganpentacle ·
"Seems if you have compassion and empathy for the people of Gaza then you're anti-semtic ..."

Or you support Hamas as one charming poster said to me.

@Paganpentacle I don't have a clue what you are trying to say? My leader is the same as any of the jews here.

Do I deserve to suffer for the actions of my leader or is only jews?

You're deluded if you think people are marching for or support Hamas FFS.

"The Jews" don't have a Prime Minister, or a leader, but if you mean Israelis, it's best to say so, because they are very different things.
Did you know that some Israelis are Muslims?

ObliviousCoalmine · 03/10/2025 16:59

It is possible to care about two things simultaneously. It’s possible to absolutely disagree with what happened in Manchester and acknowledge that nobody should be persecuted for their faith, and also care that a literal genocide is happening.

Nor all Jews are zionists and not everyone who believes what is happening in Gaza is abhorrent, are hamas and terrorists.

This kind of discourse doesn’t help
either party, and just carries on dividing people.

SunnySideDeepDown · 03/10/2025 16:59

whatistheworld · 03/10/2025 16:50

hopefully, but two wrongs don't make a right

You must be in another planet to respond “hopefully”. That or antagonistic.

It’s not a case of two wrongs. It’s a case of returning the innocent hostages who have spent years without their loved ones in awful conditions. And not slaughtering innocent families enjoying a music festival. Israel has a right to defend itself and its peace, its hard to have peace when you live next door to a terrorist organisation who slay your community.

No you dont.

Just like the Palestinian people dont deserve to suffer for the actions of Hamas.

I can see the point of Reform when I see stuff like that.

I think we will see a bigger shift now which really worries me. Worrying times ahead.

NetZeroZealot · 03/10/2025 17:00

I don't think marches should be banned but I think the organisers should voluntarily call them off.

clipboardz · 03/10/2025 17:00

@Paganpentacle so who are you talking about here? Jews in the UK are suffering and suffered a lot yesterday.

If Jews are suffering due to the actions of their leader....

Are you insinuating there’s a problem with Zionism? Why is it ok for Palestinians to want to be in Jerusalem but not Jews?

Absolutely sick of the hypocrisy.

JoiedeMay · 03/10/2025 17:01

Netanyahu at a 2019 Likud party meeting: “’Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas,’ he told a meeting of his Likud party’s Knesset members in March 2019. ‘This is part of our strategy—to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank.’”

I will never vote for Reform but Nigel farage’s Twitter post on this issue was the only one that made sense. 😢

That won't be reported on Mumsnet, you should be ashamed of yourself even bringing it up. Don't you know that you should be telling us that is justified and the poor terrorists can't help that they want to turn the UK into the hole they are 'escaping' from?

24karatPalamino · 03/10/2025 17:03

Paganpentacle · 03/10/2025 16:59

No you dont.

Just like the Palestinian people dont deserve to suffer for the actions of Hamas.

But it is still Hamas who make the Palestinians suffer.

The murder of innocent Brits the other evening was pure evil.
