NototerrorismIntheUK · 03/10/2025 15:15

The police and others have called out in the hope that there will be no pro Palestine marches tomorrow. They are stretched and say it will divert resources from trying to protect the Jewish people following the terrorist attack yesterday.

I agree. No march tomorrow AIBU?

Any country could end up with a terrorist government a if it happened to us would
you be happy that you and your kids got blown up because of it.
your fault because terrorists got into power

wtf

free Speech is slowly being removed so no the marches shouldn’t stop - and chanting free Palestine has nothing to do with hating Jewish people

the people responsible are the Israeli government and idf

you can hate both of those organisations because of what they are doing it’s not linked to the whole of all Jewish population or even the people of Israel

Imagine being so ignorant, yet still telling others to educate themselves. What other country would you like to erase—Pakistan? Maybe Croatia? Even the UN, which has a questionable record regarding Israel, isn’t challenging the legality of the naval blockade of Gaza.
No one is kidnapped. If you want to be an activist, you have to be ready to take responsibility. They’re going to be deported. They’ll be back home. Real hostages were already killed, their bodies intentionally misplaced, or are being starved to death right now in Hamas captivity.
“From the river to the sea” is a call for conquest and genocide of Jews. Just be open about what you wish to happen. No need to hide behind allusions.
You should also check who is indigenous to this land and who descends from colonisers. Hint: Arabs were the colonising ones.
I must say, you’re in good company—this guy also thought exterminating Jews would solve the problem, and he used the UN to help make it possible.

There is so much wrong with what you said I don't even know where to begin.
Firstly, the flotilla were absolutely kidnapped. They were in international waters going into the Palestine waters of which Israel has no powers and the blockade of aid is literally one of the pillars of genocide they are being indicted for.

As for the colonisation, considering that Uganda and Argentina were also for consideration of the creation of a Jewish Homeland I would say the location wasn't actually the main point however it became popular to be Palestine (which is labelled as such going back hundreds of years) because it helped Britain control that area and access to other colonies like India.

As for exterminating Jews, that's a disgusting accusation and one that leads to the very awful events at the synagogue. I have spent many years of my life studying what happened to the Jewish people in Germany and elsewhere during and leading up to WW2, however I've also studied enough to know that what was happening to Palestine began in the 1800s with British involvement and then Israel began to form after the first Nakba were thousands of Palestinians were killed and buried in mass graves in displaced into refugee camps where they still exist today.

As I said in my previous comment, I would encourage to get outside your own bubble. The Israeli government have weaponised the idea of antisemitism to protect themselves and that is what is causing harm to Jewish people. Because you can control a group of people if you feed them propaganda and tell them the world is against them.

Palestinian lives are no less important than the lives of Israeli people or Jewish people or Irish or Australian or Chinese people and if you believe anything other than that then you have been fed lies, hatred and propaganda.

@Justagirl95 it's clear enough, so what's the answer.

I'm dyslexic, I do apologise!

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 03/10/2025 17:13

Justagirl95 · 03/10/2025 17:10

That's hilarious. Can you ask Israel to do the same?

Sure, Hamas would love a free week to murder an entire race

AguNwaanyi · 03/10/2025 17:14

YABU doesn’t even cut it.

CrossChecking · 03/10/2025 17:14

The people marching for Gaza have no idea how much the people they are marching for despise and hate them.

Really? My friend is very heavily involved in protests and aid work for Gaza and has been to Gaza on a few occasions. He said that he was treated with kindness and generosity, people were eager to share their cooking and their stories. The people I know who went to the West Bank say that the worst people they met were the IDF. They only had lovely things to say about Palestinians, they had no bad interactions with them.

I'd be interested to know what you are basing your comments on, your own hatred of Palestinians maybe?

No it really isn't. I genuinely don't know what you are asking. I thought i had answered you 🤷‍♀️

If you demand an answer to a question then at least make it make sense.

@JollyLilacBee I don't know of any other matches happening but don't have an issue with them all pausing.

I think any events that require a police presence should be cancelled if extra police are needed for protection purposes

Is the genocide getting called off?
No?
So nor should the marches be

Edited

But you walking down Whitehall with a placard isn’t going to stop the genocide is it?!

There is a minority group of people who were targeted by a terrorist because of their religion yesterday! Just leave it this week and start again next week!

clipboardz · 03/10/2025 17:15

@Justagirl95 You said only one person died yesterday which was nothing compared to deaths in Gaza. So how many deaths in the UK at the hands of terrorists are enough for you to not minimise the deaths, 50? 500? 5000?

DrPrunesqualer · 03/10/2025 17:16

To the people who plan on marching tomorrow - what impact do you think your marching, specifically tomorrow, will have on Israeli policy re Palestine?

Presumably they are putting pressure on Hamas to agree to the ceasefire....

I’d like Starmer to speak out for once
Not a word about British citizens arrested on the Flotilla
Not a word of support and empathy for the Palestinians or their families who are living here

There is enormous outrage at the genocide in Gaza and he has been remarkably silent and unsupportive

I would have imagined this weekends protests would have been larger than others given the current situation

Liverpool2025 · 03/10/2025 17:16

NototerrorismIntheUK · 03/10/2025 15:24

Please use this time to chant no to terrorism then as well? Get rid of terrorists? Free the hostages? No? Peace for all maybe?

Please, please don't sing globalise the intifada and from the river to the sea..... (eradicate Israel as it means) etc etc maybe just peace for all?

Edited

Many children were murdered , again, today.

They are humans and were loved.

It is important stop the genocide regardless of the poor person murdered yesterday ( and the other man shot , in error, by the police).

Your post seems to refer to Palestinians terrorists? Jews are not responsible for the IFG and Palestinian are not responsible for Hamas.

No to terrorists, yes. That is what the marches are for.

Justagirl95 · 03/10/2025 17:16

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 03/10/2025 17:13

I think you might be a bit confused - its Israel who are attempting to murder an entire race (that's what a genocide is)

NotsoLovinLefties · 03/10/2025 15:28

When will you be marching for the Christian Nigerians?
No, didn’t think so 😒

When did Nigeria become the new pro Israel whataboutism trump card? If you’re like the other poster who mentioned this you don’t know or give a shit about what’s going on there.

Did I? Can you quote it please.

TheCatsTongue · 03/10/2025 17:17

Anti-Semitism is a form of racism that acceptable to many in the West (particularly the 33% YABU).

Disappointed that the government aren't willing to call these protests racists, but are very happy to call others that.

RisingSunn · 03/10/2025 17:18

NotsoLovinLefties · 03/10/2025 15:28

No, didn’t think so 😒

Exactly - Islamic terrorists slaughtering thousands of Nigerian Christians on a daily basis - but it doesn't involve Israel...so..

SameOldHill · 03/10/2025 17:18

Should the protests all over Italy be called off too?

They have no connection to the evil hate crime in Manchester.

They are protesting the interception of flotilla. Which literally just happened.

So is it ok for them to protest in your opinion?

ThatGladTiger · 03/10/2025 17:18

Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party and a prominent Jew has himself come out and called for solidarity. Whilst bombs are being dropped on children, a genocide is happening and Israel is being funded by the government everyone has a right to march.

They are two separate issues.

But you walking down Whitehall with a placard isn’t going to stop the genocide is it?!

There is a minority group of people who were targeted by a terrorist because of their religion yesterday! Just leave it this week and start again next week!

This is a crucial weekend for the Palestinian people and they should not be blamed for the attack on the synagogue

We do not blame all Jewish people for what’s happening in Gaza, this works both ways

If 'walking down Whitehall with a placard' is meaningless, why do you think merely postponing the anti genocide protests is important or meaningful?

Is it going to be less disrespectful to match next weekend or next month?

It was more than a handful of extremists that carried out the massacres on 7th October. & more than a handful of Hamas fighters & supporters who've been fighting a war dince then. A war that they started & could have ended on any day they chose to give back the civilian hostages.

Even with a peace plan supported by all the major Arab & Muslim nations, Hamas still want to carry on fighting & sacrificing the people of Gaza as collateral damage. Is this what people are marching to support on the streets of Btitaian? After yesterday, shame on you.

I think you’ve quoted the wrong post. I was saying in response to someone that I haven’t seen any Muslim groups come out and condemn the Manchester atrocities .

I'd imagine the quoted poster maybe once saw some Palestinians on the telly and though they had bad vibes or something.
