Why is everyone such a wet lettuce?

Hand-wringing over badges. Upset over name origins. The list goes on and on.

Are people just bored and want some attention online or something?

It's my own fault for reading threads on here, and having other social media I guess!

I saw a video yesterday about how to get mentally prepared for winter. Splitting out the weeks into zones and what needs to be done in those to get through mentally.

Or you could….go about your life as usual with a coat and hat and turn the lights on earlier.

It's altogether very boring.

Mumsnet is fast becoming a tabloid fuelled dumpster fire, it takes up to 4 mins most of the time for a browser to load the cringey ads.

Best to only pop on for something worthwhile, which isn't often!

I enjoy lettuce and find being compared to one in a derogatory manner to be triggering and, quite frankly, an insult to the hardworking farmers who grow the lettuce.

I am usually very easy going and don't often take any notice of the wet lettuces.

However I have been a bit incredulous over the adverts thread where people wouldn't eat a Yorkie bar because of the ad, and the one where people are talking about eating foods they don't like.
Life is too bloody short. Get over yourselves.

I don't think MN as a whole is representative of the population, as is perhaps natural with a critical mass of people who live their life glued to a website and SM while increasingly being unwilling to answer the door, speak with strangers, go to a social event, take public transport, go to the cinema alone, drive on a motorway, countenance fireworks on Nov 5th, socialise with anyone from extended family at Christmas etc etc.

And yet here you are.

Bang on the money. When did people ever become to pathetic, spineless, petty and angst ridden? FFS Peeps get a grip on life.
I wrote something similar to the OP last year under a different name and was slaughtered on here for being insensitive, and now this thread which is brilliant! Bin Gate, read it and wanted to kick poster up the arse - just woman up and get on with it!😁

There was a thread running about people getting all sad faced over the dark nights coming. I do wonder how people cope with life. I barely notice this shit, I just get on with living
