Especially if it isn't a supermarket. There's so much out there now & if always find meat from butchers etc to be really good value for money... do you get a food shop in a supermarket or do you have subscriptions for some bits/top ups elsewhere/ go local? Who grows their own veg? I am interested and looking to be inspired!

Ocado. Yes boring but never lets me down

HotTiredDog · 26/09/2025 16:18

Ditto

Devilsmommy · 26/09/2025 16:22

Ocado for the fresh stuff. Haven't had a bad thing yet. Tesco for bits n bobs

Starwarsepisode3 · 26/09/2025 16:29

I go to Sainsbury’s because it’s on my way home from work and there’s certain branded stuff I like from there and I find their fruit and veg lasts better.

OH does Lidl.

We mix from both.

TheWernethWife · 26/09/2025 16:31

Sainsbury's and Tesco , live between both.

EchoedSilence · 26/09/2025 16:33

Tesco mostly. Iceland, Aldi,Asda, or the Co-Op for top ups depending which is the nearest at the time.

MissyB1 · 26/09/2025 16:35

Bulk of the weekly shop in Aldi. Top up shop (and items Aldi don't sell) from M&S/Asda/Waitrose.

ItsFridayIminLoveJS · 26/09/2025 16:48

Delivery from Sainsbury's... or Ocado or both.. if I'm in town l will pop to M&S and stock up for the freezer.
Once a month l go to the Company shop.
I spent £42 there yesterday and got 3 big bags full for myself and two daughters ( and their kids) including 3 gammon joints...3 chickens .. pizzas... fries... veg and fruit.. loads of bread/ bagels etc.. probably about £150 worth.. yes you have to watch the dates.. but most stuff will freeze.

Oh I forgot about The Company Shop, I stock up there about once a month too.

Waitrose delivery or Sainsbury in store . I find Waitrose online bizarrely cheaper than shopping in Sainsbury and the Sainsbury online system is way more complicated and not as good. I get fruit and UPF free bread from M&S whenever I’m near.

Hatty65 · 26/09/2025 17:31

Tesco. Local butchers are sadly far too expensive. Meat is obviously better than supermarket stuff, but we can't afford it.

meatyryvita · 26/09/2025 17:32

Ocado for the main shop. Sainsburys and M&S for top ups.

jill5676 · 26/09/2025 17:32

Sainsbury's delivery mostly. Ocado don't deliver in Scotland sadly.

SpackelFrog · 26/09/2025 17:33

Waitrose delivery, we used to get Ocado until they went in with M&S.

Ilovepastafortea · 26/09/2025 17:34

Meat from local butchers (yes, we're lucky that we still have one) most of veg grown by us.

Everything else delivered from Sainsburys or Tesco.

Nomorecoconutboosts · 26/09/2025 17:37

I do a bit of a mix. Ocado order - big one after payday then usually 2-3 more each month.
get fresh fruit in M&S, top up shops mainly Sainsbury’s (one close to work and one close to home)
If possible for example going near to a greengrocer or farm shop I try to use that for fresh stuff but that isn’t every week, maybe a few times a year.
Occasionally use a different supermarket for a change.

Same.

JHound · 26/09/2025 17:39

Online bulk shopping Tesco or Asda.

Top up shopping Waitrose or M&S.

FunnyOrca · 26/09/2025 17:58

Sainsbury’s online order for everything but fruit and veg.

The greengrocer or Waitrose for fruit and veg.

Local refill shop for laundry detergents, soap etc. (probably only monthly or less as we do a big haul each time)

Holland and Barrett or M&S for specialty items

Jojoanna · 26/09/2025 17:59

Morrisons for main ,, top up at Sainsbury’s in the week

KelsCommemorativeSausage · 26/09/2025 18:01

Ocado once a fortnight, and I get frozen bits from Heron Foods and top ups from Lidl if I need to.

Sarah2891 · 26/09/2025 18:04

Ocado for main shop. Sainsbury's for other bits.

TheExcitersblowingupmymind · 26/09/2025 18:04

Asda 15% staff discount.

MoonlightMemories · 26/09/2025 18:05

Tesco home shop delivery for most things, I do get a milk delivery (prefer the taste of it and easy to get more between my Tesco shops as use a lot in my baking/cooking), get miscellaneous cleaning supplies/tea bags etc via Amazon subscriptions that I can buy more of and for a better price then most supermarkets and less often.

PeanutButter55 · 26/09/2025 18:06

M&S for fresh groceries like fruit, veg, dairy and the small amount of fish & meat that we do eat. Superior quality and better value than other supermarkets in my opinion. Sainsbury’s for cupboard goods & meat alternatives, random stuff like cleaning supplies, dog food etc.
