Just watched 47 migrants being deported, costing hundreds of thousands, private flights, huge number of security guards, the migrants then get given cash cards! Back to Romania after committing crimes here including murder, sexual offences, pedophiles with money to help them resettle in their own country.

Well yes reform are getting votes, they did at the last general election and they gained a huge number of votes in the recent local elections, ultimately winning 677 seats. This was more than 30% of the seats being contested.

it is pretty clear why they are going it…. they are paying them off as it’s far cheaper than going through the courts to try and remove them legally.

Dismissing 79% of the population’s opinion that action must be taken on immigration seems highly dangerous and provocative to me - especially given we have a government paralysed by indecision and inaction.

Without a doubt it's a reform government next time ,and we all need to plan for that ,and how it will effect each of us .
Those who have current ilr need to be applying for the British passport while they can ,and those that can't ,need to be planning on what they will do in 4 years time .

If they commit a crime they should be immediately deported with no cash bribe. It shouldn’t even be a debate, no crime is victimless and if anything happened to me I’d feel better knowing that the person was deported. Unfortunately we’ve got enough homegrown criminals that we can’t deport without adding to the numbers.

Anyone who is currently here and can't apply for a passport for whatever reason,has 4years to plan what they will do when reform takes over .

Starmer is not going to call an early election,nor will his back benchers,,they are here to get their money ,to coast along for the next 4 years ,unable to make the necessary changes needed to keep reform out .
I didn't know migrants get a gift card of £2000 as golden goodbye..but I can't say it surprises me ..I do hope they are finger printed and in the system to stop them using that £2000 to pay a smuggling gang to bring them straight back and in to a cozy hotel...but it wouldn't surprise me if that is exactly where the £2000 goes .

Gov’t deal with asylum seekers, local councils with homeless. Councils do use hotels for the homeless. There are also hostels for the longer term homeless. These longer term homeless often have issues that mean they break the requirements of their hotel/hostel eg/ drinking/drug taking so are on the streets again.
Neither solution is perfect, but perhaps we could have compassion for both.

If coming illegally to the U.K. means you get to work on the black market then £2K I can see more immigrants coming not less it’s a great incentive

OP some of the responses here off the loony lefts are shocking, no wonder the country is in such a shitty state. Some people are absolutely clueless.

It genuinely makes me so angry that the government are spending money left right and centre on people that have never had any legal rights to be here whilst our own people are living hand to mouth, our veterans are freezing to death on the streets, our NHS is crumbling and barely fit for purpose, some NHS referrals such as rheumatology by me has a year and a half wait list. Our police are so busy protecting hotels and arresting people over social media posts that they are no longer dealing with real crime, our schools are full to the brim. Money should be spent at home on our own, improving the lives of people who've worked and paid into the system.

Blows my mind that people are outraged by people putting flags up to send a message to the government but aren't outraged at the mess the country is in and how bloody awful our government are treating their own people.

The majority of immigrants who came here legally and have worked hard, built good lives for themselves and contributed massively to society now want to return to their own countries due to the mess of the country, so what will we be left with? It's a scary thought!!
