Migrants get up to £2000 on bankcard after prison sentences

Ihatetomatoes · 24/09/2025 22:14

Just watched 47 migrants being deported, costing hundreds of thousands, private flights, huge number of security guards, the migrants then get given cash cards! Back to Romania after committing crimes here including murder, sexual offences, pedophiles with money to help them resettle in their own country.

ITV news - our own go hungry and cold.

We are total mugs here in the UK.

On a separate story migrants having taxis to appointments, free NHS. I mean we have to get to our own way.

Mugs. No wonder many people are unhappy. These are convicted criminals, being pandered to.

What do the boarders have to do with it?

sp check didn't correct.

Isn’t it like a refund of their fare to get to the Uk?

Not sure why us spending tax payers' money on criminals is "yawn". It's shocking when you consider the state of health, education and everything else in this country.

My politics are in the centre - and I would like to see the left and right collaborate rather than fight, but comments like "Hi Nige" and "Yawn" actually make me feel more inclined to vote Reform next time.

Totally agree OP, it’s absolutely batshit. Should be deported with no money. Why are we rewarding criminals?!

Dweetfidilove · 24/09/2025 22:34

Ihatetomatoes · 24/09/2025 22:19

Crazy. Just deport with no money.

Pity the government hadn't thought of that 😕

Ihatetomatoes · 24/09/2025 22:35

wizzywig · 24/09/2025 22:25

Is this a payment for voluntary deportation?

No.

No its not the voluntary scheme. This lot were forced deportations due to crime including murder.

They aren't forced deportations. They are deemed to be voluntary as they aren't being fought.

How much do you think your insurance premium will be for healthcare? With carers numbers decimated by the removal of right to remain 🤦‍♀️

Obviously some on mumsnet think it's funny that people are annoyed. Its pretty disgusting that so much money is wasted when people here have needs not met, health, education etc.

It’s like an incentive to become a career criminal tourist. Anything to actually stop them from repeatedly entering the country, committing a minor crime, short stay in prison then back home on a free flight with £2k in the bank?

None of these people will be carers. They were all convicted criminals on the flight.

Quicker, with no money, in handcuffs and leg chains if they throw urine over security staff. Disgusting. Tighten the boarders so we know who is arriving. Much quicker processing on arrival.

Edited

How much do you think all those extra measures would cost?

Exactly. Come back and try again.

They give them money to get them to agree to go. The £2k is far less than the cost of housing them and all the court time and paperwork etc if they don't agree to leave voluntarily.

Do you not think that we should not have to get them to agree to go voluntarily. Anyone who is granted asylum or right to remain in our country relinquishes that privilege in the event of them being found guilty of a crime that results in a 12 month plus prison sentence. It’s a total abuse of uk hospitality and our offer of sanctuary, there should be zero right to appeal. Get rid, we should be able to enforce their deportation without resorting to bribery.

KitTea3 · 24/09/2025 22:39

It is voluntary as outlined in the official guidelines below

The less time they are here, the more money saved.

Well it's dominating politics at present so unless its sorted will continue to cause division.

YANBU OP. Why the frig do we give money away like this?! They wouldn’t get a crumb off me. Yes we are absolute first rate mugs. It doesn’t matter what it would have cost if they were here. They shouldn’t bloody be here in the first place!!

Nothing about minor crimes, these are men who have committed serious crimes. £2,000 to get rid of them permanently is a price well paid. If they don’t get the money they will find every legal chance to prolong their stay which just costs the country more money.

I think the poster is assuming you think reform are the solution. Reform who have explicitly stated they'd remove right to remain (which would impact law abiding carers) and who have certainly talked about health insurance being the answer.

But you could just be genuinely frustrated and looking for answers.

Ihatetomatoes · 24/09/2025 22:42

They said that the 'yawn' and the 'hi Nige' replies make them consider voting reform... not that they were going to. I think its the dismissal of concerns and dismissive attitudes that people find annoying.

You know what else is disgusting? Putting illegals up in hotels whilst British homeless sleep on the streets.

if they could come up with a solution to housing illegals, why couldn’t they come up with the same solution to getting British homeless off the streets? Why were hotels not used for them?

SweetManateeOfGalilee · 24/09/2025 22:43

TomatoSandwiches · 24/09/2025 22:19

What should we do then op, ever which way these people are to be "processed" costs money, even not allowing them to enter the UK.

So what's the answer?

Clearly op thinks we should tar feather and maybe burn them?

abathofmilkwithladydi · 24/09/2025 22:43

Fuck sake.

Go and put some flags up.
