Migrants get up to £2000 on bankcard after prison sentences

Ihatetomatoes · 24/09/2025 22:14

Just watched 47 migrants being deported, costing hundreds of thousands, private flights, huge number of security guards, the migrants then get given cash cards! Back to Romania after committing crimes here including murder, sexual offences, pedophiles with money to help them resettle in their own country.

ITV news - our own go hungry and cold.

We are total mugs here in the UK.

On a separate story migrants having taxis to appointments, free NHS. I mean we have to get to our own way.

Mugs. No wonder many people are unhappy. These are convicted criminals, being pandered to.

Couldn’t make it up. They should be deported as soon as they finish their jail sentences.

‘Hi Nige’ me all you want, I really don’t care.

I was reading an article a few days ago about a girl getting raped on a migrant boat, another girl being abused and chucked overboard.

I don’t have a problem with law abiding legal migrants, I do with undocumented, unvetted men coming over illegally.

Ridiculous comment 🙄

I am very happy with it.

  1. Migrants make a massive contribution to the UK economy. We would all be poorer without them.
  2. Of course there will be a minority of them that are criminals
  3. But ripping up all our laws and rights to get rid of them threatens everyone because if you do it for one group, it is a lot easier to do it for another

PROFESSIONAL migrants contribute, and are very welcome - the vast majority do not. Migrants are costing billions.

DeafLeppard · 25/09/2025 07:11

I think Labour are doing more to solve this than any government in the past 20 years, tbh.

We don’t have enough housing to house our homeless, because we have accepted millions and millions of extra migrants. The services everywhere are stretched too thin. Here we have assisted living with support for the homeless that worked really well for years, and kept them off the streets for most of the time - and offered them services and care, but now has been overwhelmed with demand. Too many people on one small island.

Can I see your source for this please? I worked with homeless people for a long time, homeless services have always been stretched very thin as well as the services that deal with the root cause of this such as addiction and mental health issues which, in my experience, are the main reasons that hostels become a dangerous place to be.

Lack of affordable housing is a huge issue and this is affected by immigration. However, the introduction of right to buy and capitalism (greedy landlords) also play a significant part. To lay the blame on immigrants is ridiculous - it is our policies which have made this problem, including Brexit which is conveniently not mentioned when Reform spout off.

Immigration is clearly an issue in the country currently, mainly a self-fulfilling prophecy in that we're being pushed with that agenda by people who want us to be. When actually it is not the root cause of all evil and I'd much rather make sure we don't end up with Nigel "I don't know if paracetamol causes autism" Farage who will turn this country into a little America. No thanks.

Whaleandsnail6 · 25/09/2025 07:21

I do think its crazy that we have a system where these people, who would be liable for deportation, are offered bribes to go quietly.

Ok, so the bribe is cheaper than lengthy prison sentence and appeals but I don't understand why we can't do away with that and once people who are liable for deportation if convinced of a crime, don't just get deported once convicted.

I think the system in this case needs changing

What a silly post. You appear to be agreeing that immigration is an issue and we don’t have enough housing (both true) In our area the homeless services has been overwhelmed by illegal immigrants and men seeking services. We now have lone women on our streets for the first time ( I too work in a related industry)

We will end up with Farage as we are now propping up an entirely paralysed government, that could put forward an action plan, but there is radio silence.

Which particular rag are you writing for OP. Posting overnight for self righteous, pearl clutching indignation so you've got more vitriol to spew?

Give it a rest.

Or maybe she is speaking for 79% of the population that are sick of paying for this debacle. No doubt sitting on benefits you don’t care, but it will affect you soon enough.

CinnamonJellyBeans · 25/09/2025 07:30

I'm not sure paying people to go away and stay away is effective: Look what happened with the Vikings.

Why is it a silly post.

  1. Immigration is not the root cause of homelessness and is not the reason that we have homeless people on the street (as your previous post suggested)
  1. Some issues around immigration are problematic but solving these will not magically solve all problems in society as we are currently being led to believe.
  1. We have always had women who are homeless on the streets. They too suffer from the same problems of addiction and mental health.

All of these things can be true.

No, these are criminals, sentence served, deported back to their home after committing some pretty serious crimes here. We don't have to give them money, just sod off. Many needed several staff to get on planes, some 7 staff! Then out came the bank cards. When landing they looked like they were chuffed to be given cash.

I was at A&E recently for +8hrs (supporting a friend). A white, local man was brought in by police, he was initally, seen pretty quickly in the back of the van, so he didn't kick off in A&E and he had 5!! police with him for the best part if 4hrs (may have been longer). A white lass was also brought in, 3 officers she was there as we left, but definitely for at least +2hrs. (BTW staff from various countries working their socks off)

That was one night in one A&E, with white British people cositing a fortune, so £2000 to get rid of someone out of the country seems money well spent.

Farage is stirring hate and resentment, I DO believe we need to sort out immigration/ asylum seekers, they need to be processed quicker and those not allowed, returned home etc BUT getting rid of all immigrants IS NOT going to improve our situation and then who will we blame??? those on benefits/disabled/single families??

The Tories have decimated our public services so they're so starved of cash, workers etc it will take decades probably just to maintain where we are now.

Why do you think I'm posting at this time of day. I've worked for my entire life and still am, do you?

Where do you get 79% from. Thin air.

Why have you assumed she’s on benefits? Her username is literally Work9to5.

And what does 79% refer to?

OP herself has said she was wrong. Do some research before spouting the same old guff.

MeTooOverHere · 25/09/2025 07:44

Can someone pls give a summary for those of us who are from elsewhere and have no idea who Nige is or any of the other shorthand in this thread? Like maybe links to the article? 79%? Who is on benefits? Who is being moved across the country so they need taxis back?

nomas · 25/09/2025 07:45

Ihatetomatoes · 24/09/2025 23:45

Thanks for the information. It was certainly portrayed like that.

Hopefully you can now admit you were wrong.

And several people who watched the programme understood that the forcibly deported did not get any money.

Why do you need a summary if you’re not in the UK?

Which country are you in?

Can we put some attention on the banks please? Overdraft charges 34% in some cases. People who are in poverty unable to get out, because the government allowed them to charge this stupid rate over Bank of England rates. This doesn’t feature enough

I refer to the latest government poll that confirms 79 % of the U.K. population think immigration is too high.

If you are a tax payer you are hardly likely to want your hard eened money being spent on £600 tacis and deportation bribes (when they just return anyway) with a different name and passport. Usernames are not a good gauge! I am clearly not a nesting bird 😂

Bloozie · 25/09/2025 07:50

It's almost like you people don't want to deport individuals that shouldn't be here and reduce the overall cost to the country.

"Get rid of illegal criminals. No, not like that. Or that. Do it in a way that doesn't cost a single penny and remove a few of their toes while you're at it."

nomas · 25/09/2025 07:51

Theoturkeyistheonlyturkeyonmytable · 25/09/2025 06:10

Yeah ..untill they use that money to come back on a boat ..
Who knows at what point they get finger printed when getting of the boat ,if at all knowing this government..it's probably a violation of their human rights to be finger printed on arrival

Which Romanians have entered the UK by boat?Confused

I can’t find anything say even 1 has arrived by boat.

BeardofHagrid · 25/09/2025 07:53

We have to give them five star hotel rooms and £2000 bank cards or we are “Nazis”, remember 😌

Nigel Farage is the leader of a new reform party promising immediate action on immigration.

79% of the UK
population want to see action on immigration and think it’s too high.

Illegal immigrants are being put up in hotels across the country, and the BBC uncovered we are spending thousands - tens of thousands on taxis to take them to a specialist consultants hundreds of miles away for example (this was confirmed yesterday) and children to school etc etc.

There is widespread anger at the total failure of this government to get a bloody grip. So the vacuum
is being filled by those that want to see change.
