Trump is an absolute twat.

YANBU - he’s an absolute knob. The state the USA is in right now and he’s trying to lecture the rest of the world!

YABU - he’s not a twat.

Anyway, my point stands. POTUS is in NO position to be lecturing anyone else in how to run a country when there so much in his to be dealt with.

Muffinmam · 23/09/2025 19:39

The issue is we can’t trust our own governments. He ran his entire campaign on the government is corrupt but you can trust them.

So right now I’ve no idea whether or not paracetamol causes autism because I don’t trust the government or the corporations. It’s possible paracetamol could influence the development of autism. It’s not like we can trust the researchers to tell the truth.

Johnson & Johnson knowingly sold asbestos riddled talcum powder for years then hid the report and continued selling their product for years even though there was a viable product replacement (cornstarch).

I took a lot of paracetamol during pregnancy and my child is severely autistic.

Are you happy with the current state of the UK?

What's that got to do with the price of eggs?

TanquerayTickles · 23/09/2025 19:41

He makes me want to peel my own skin off with cringe, he's a walking embarrassment to the American people. I never knew there were that many stupid people in the world.

WeaselCheeks · 23/09/2025 19:43

It's depressing. Every time I think that Trump can't shock me with his incoherent, racist ramblings and obvious cognitive decline anymore, he somehow manages to make an even worse spectacle.l of himself in public.

"Why didn’t you apply this much scrutiny to Joe Biden?"

Because Biden, whilst obviously old and doddery, was never this batshit mental. Biden was never a legally adjudicated rapist, or accused of rape and domestic violence by his wife, or a convicted felon, or close personal friends with a known paedophile and sex trafficker, or bragged about how he likes to sexually assault women, or to prey on women and girls in changing rooms, or commented repeatedly on his daughter's sexual attractiveness, or hired multiple unqualified people into his administration with histories of sexual assault or domestic violence, or repeatedly called for the death penalty of innocent men because they were black, or claimed that a president wasn't American because he was black, or had to settle a court case due to racially discriminating against black renters, or claimed that bleach cures COVID, or that climate change is a hoax, or had an extensive history of telling provable lies.

Having a US president that's batshit mental is dangerous for the world. It's horrifying to see him dragging America backwards, and even more horrifying to see his efforts to drag the world down with him.

Iwantmyoldnameback · 23/09/2025 19:43

It's all distraction. Thevmind literally boggles about the content of the File.

Zanatdy · 23/09/2025 19:47

Absolutely cannot stand the orange twerp, but the stuff he is coming out with re Autism and paracetamol is downright idiotic. The stuff he says about vaccines is downright dangerous. Say what you like about our PM’s, and we have had our share of bad one’s, but none would even dream of using their platform for pedalling this kind of false news, or criticising other countries or their leaders when their own country is in a mess. Who on earth votes for this fool? It baffles me, it really does.

As if mothers of autistic DC don’t already question themselves enough and wonder if there was anything they could have done differently without this absolute none-sense. Glad to hear NHS professionals are speaking out and reassuring mothers that they are NOT to blame.

itsAforapple · 23/09/2025 19:47

It’s just such bullshit. The whole thing with Sadiq Khan is fucking bizarre.

@Themagicfarawaytreeismyfav @Fullfatandfortyplus

You both may 'feel' safer in the US. I can't dispute how you feel. It's your truth.

How about actual, real facts and statistics though? It's a simple, indisputable fact that it is much more dangerous in NY than in London. Look it up. Crime of all kinds is simply higher in NY. You are much more likely to be a victim of crIme in NY than London. There's no point arguing otherwise.

I'm not making any kind of political point. I'm not a Labour (or Democrat) supporter, just talking about facts. London is safer than NY. Google the real facts. After that, ask yourself why you would post something made up about your feelings as if it were true.

Ilovepastafortea · 23/09/2025 19:48

Well so far he is going to ..

Invade Canada
Sort the war in Ukraine out in 24 hours
Take charge of Gaza

that's off the top of my head - there are many more crazy things that come from him.

and now he's undoing all the work that the UK Govt have done with re-enforcing concerns over MMR saying he wants babies to have several sets of vaccinations with no medical evidence.

A dangerous narcissist nutter indeed.

I’ve just left the US. California. And I can tell you that 80% of the people around me thought he was a massive dick.

I’ve noticed that rhetoric in the UK about ‘you can’t believe what you read in the UK media about Trump, all Americans are happy with him… It’s repetitive and definitely seems to come from the people who are doing ‘their own research’ and I can guess pretty much 99% of the rest of the canned bollocks they’re coming out with.

You don’t need to believe what you read in the UK media, you can just listen to the shit that comes out of his mouth to get everything you need to know.

And you need to be extremely naïve to not think that what he’s doing doesn’t impact the whole world.

Edited

Agreed if it only affected the USA that would be bad enough especially for women and girls.
As you say what he says and does has a global impact.

itsAforapple · 23/09/2025 19:52

giveitback · 23/09/2025 19:34

Are you in the US OP? Or have you visited recently? I wouldn’t believe everything the UK media is telling you.

I’m in the US and although there’s a split, plenty of sane, very educated people here really like him and think he’s doing great things for the country. Unless you’re here, I’m not sure why his existence bothers you so much?

Listen. If orangina focussed on sorting the US out no-one would be ‘bothered’ with his existence- but he isn’t, is he? He’s on the world stage berating every other western nation and is clearly unhinged. Whilst in charge of one of the world’s largest collection of nuclear weapons.
THATs why we’re ‘bothered’.

How do you think it’s going to go when vaccine rates drop?

Edited

I think vaccines dropping will be down to how poorly managed covid vaccines went. Most people didn't think twice about giving thier kids vaccines before covid. Now people are mistrustful of a pharma industry who are there solely to make profits and their governments who made terrible decisions (especially Canada) I am not anti vax but I know many people now that question things and it's nothing to do with trump.

I don't much like Trump he's like a spoilt child but I also think it's stupid to say he's the worst president ever. Joe Biden withdrew hastily from Afghanistan leaving a terrible mess which has immediately filled the void with more terrorists. Obama evicted WAY more people from the country than Trump ever will. Watch Farenheight 11/9 you see Obama knew damn well that water in Flint was poisonous and making thousands of people sick yet he lied to their faces and did nothing to fix the problem. It seems they don't want honest and kind politicians in the US, they kill those ones off (JFK).
In the UK we have many problems but our political system isn't as corrupt as the US because they have so many lobbyists.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 23/09/2025 19:35

President Clinton's passing of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban (AWB)? It was not renewed after ten years as was intended because at that point George W Bush was president and reducing the number of military-grade (anti-human and useless for other purposes) guns in the hands of nutters didn't suit him, and it didn't get rid of all guns, but it definitely reduced that particular threat. Mass shootings went down during the ten years it was in force.

And then Obama did what, in his 8 years as President?

Right. And that makes all of the other insane embarrassing stuff ok?

padronpepper · 23/09/2025 19:57

Basically the West, US, Nato etc.. are all now completely blindsided by the Russian/Chinese/Indian alliance. That is where world power now resides.

SmudgeButt · 23/09/2025 19:57

I was in Canada a few months back and amazed (and pleased) about the number of shops that would not sell US stuff. No California wine, no bourbon, no Oreos. This has had a big impact on US industry and people in the US are scratching their heads wondering why. Not what they had expected!!!

padronpepper · 23/09/2025 19:58

Is it only this day last week that he was being lauded and feted in Windsor Castle? A week is a long time in politics really.

Er, lauded and feted by who exactly? Sure as hell not by any actual real Brits. There’s a reason they kept him WELL away from the public, not just for safety reason.

That doesn’t answer my question though. He is actively encouraging people to not vaccinate their children at this point. Regardless of what happened during the pandemic, that’s what he’s doing now. Do you think that is going to be positive?
