YANBU - he’s an absolute knob. The state the USA is in right now and he’s trying to lecture the rest of the world!

YABU - he’s not a twat.

My colleague has been elated today. He thinks the orange chump is the best thing ever. Showed me a video saying that the American govt have admitted to mass geoengineering and chemtrails. On GB news apparently. The paracetamol thing was another 'gotcha' moment on top of vaccines being the cause of everything from autism to every cancer going. He's vehemently anti Muslim, so the sharia law stuff also featured. Today has been wearing!

@cobrakaieaglefang oh me you have my utmost sympathy.
If you get him for a secret Santa buy him a loo roll to wipe his mouth.😁

It’s getting to the point where he might just be the biggest threat to the safety of the rest of the world, not Russia or China or anyone else

His insane ramblings at the UN would shame any normal country. His speech was a hideous cocktail of delusional, demented, spiteful, ignorant, racist bullshit. The US media are so craven and spineless that they greet every deluded utterance as pearls of wisdom. It would be hilarious if he wasn't so dangerous.

itsAforapple · 23/09/2025 18:39

Relieved to hear that climate change is all fake and Trump has stop 7 wars so far though. As well as discovering the cause of autism.
surprised to hear that London is moving to Sharia law though, that was new. I didn’t realise that London had it owns laws separate to the rest of the country but thank god then if orange twat has brought that to light.

What has he done lately that prompted this? I tend not to keep up with the Tangerine-in-Chief.

Are you happy with the current state of the UK?

Yes. I am.

Themagicfarawaytreeismyfav · 23/09/2025 18:46

Meadowfinch · 23/09/2025 17:31

Yes, a complete creep.

My niece who has teenage daughters has just moved home to the UK. The US is barely a 1st world country any more. The levels of ignorance and deprivation are appalling.

What absolute rubbish i travel there every week for work! Nothing has changed at all! In fact i feel safer walking round New York using my phone for directions than i do in London.

What is wrong with them?

Donald Trump GIF

Maybe write to Starmer and ask him. He is the one spouting off how much they like and respect each other. 😂

SquirrelosaurusSoShiny · 23/09/2025 18:48

I'll never forgive the left for handing him this victory and platform. The Labour Party and Lib Dems are running out of time to get their shit together and keep this horror show out of Britain. Ditch woke bullshit, protect free speech, secure the borders, sort out the NHS, get lazy bastards off benefits and into work. If they don't do this, then people will vote for whoever promises to do so even if it's horseshit.

So bad but so do I. I loved Boris Johnson for exactly the same reason. Entertainment galore. I don’t really follow politics so forgive me if I’ve offended anyone.

You obviously have the luxury of not having to worry about the impact such politicians will have on your life. Forgive me for not feeling entertained.

more information that is false

that alll that is

SmudgeButt · 23/09/2025 18:54

I used to work with an otherwise intelligent and lovely individual who told me with a completely straight face that it was a proven scientific fact that vaccines gave you the disease it was meant to prevent. She completely believed it. I tried at first to talk to her about this but was so convinced that it's true that there was no dissuading her.

I've also met a lot of intelligent well educated professionals who happen to be Americans. And many have said they don't understand the US electoral system and so don't vote. That's why people like Trump can get elected because others are happy to believe what they hear on their local bigoted radio station and line up like lambs to be slaughtered. And then wonder why things are all wonderful anymore.

Talking shite at the UN - telling everyone else how terrible their country is, worse than the USA obvs despite their endless school
shootings, immigration problems, tanking economy, opioid crisis, failing education system, healthcare crisis for the uninsured, and that’s before you get to the right wing nutters trying to take away basic human rights for women & girls.

I have also returned from the US, frequent traveller there for work, have been for 20 years, and the levels of poverty and drug addiction there at the moment are absolutely awful. People lying barely conscious on the streets,
zombified on Tranq… it’s never been this bad in all the years I’ve been there.

All I can say @Themagicfarawaytreeismyfav is you either have poor eyesight or you are careful to remain in wealthy enclaves and only see what suits your narrative.

At least in the UK, young women (and others) have access to comprehensive healthcare.

Where did they move from? We spent 6 weeks driving round America this summer and didn’t see anything of the sort. Everyone was happy and loving life. We also felt completely safe in every area we visited. Safer than London that’s for sure.

catmothertes1 · 23/09/2025 19:12

What is his obsession with the London Mayor? He seems to mention him in every speech at any occasion. I bet Sadiq Khan never thought his name would be mentioned at the UN. You'd be bemused if you were him!

Crikeyalmighty · 23/09/2025 19:14

I’ve not used the word for a long time since becoming a softie southerner - he’s an absolute wazzock! I’m not even sure he actually believes the shite he’s spouting or if he is just playing to the kind of voter he has who believes this stuff - a bit like Farage drinks wine

Echobelly · 23/09/2025 19:15

He's just so embarrassing - all the incoherent stuff he came out with yesterday with the nonsense about Tylenol and autism.

And telling the UN that 'you're countries are going to hell and I'm really good at this stuff' re immigration.

But at this rate we're heading for something just as embarrassing - even if Reform don't win the next elections, we'll have a tonne more Reform MPs and a lot of those are going to be people whose sole news source is X. Literally people who will believe that kids are getting weekly transgender lessons or something and that Muslim shopkeepers are refusing to sell poppies, or whatever rage slop Elon Musk is pushing that week.

All these people seem to have all the wrong answers to all the wrong problems.

Him banging on how London has changed..he wasn't saying this the other week when he was a guest of King Charles.
Yes the UK has issues like any other Nation.
At least we don't have an estimated 393,000,000 guns kicking about and all that entails.. School Shootings on a weekly basis and that before we get into his latest bit of lunacy. The paracetamol guff, Then the Christian funda mentalist's (deliberate split of the word)
America has God on its side and Trump is the conduit .

The guns and the school shootings aren't a trump thing, that's been the case for donkeys years. Yes in other respects he's a knob. I would say though hes definitely not the worst president, Bush Jr took the US into Iraq war under false pretence and messed up the middle East. Trump as far as I'm aware has not started any wars so it's a bit insane to say he's the worst president and I'm not a fan.

Yes. I would like to know too! The US is a vast country with many differing ideologies and incomes.

itsAforapple · 23/09/2025 19:17

It’s a shame the Tangerine Man can’t see the link between guns and mass shootings as clearly as he can between autism and over the counter painkillers…

Not one bit. And no one else I know in RL is either 🤷‍♀️

MotherofPearl · 23/09/2025 19:18

I’m amazed by all the posters who say how much safer they feel in the US compared to the UK. Really?! Gun crime and mass shootings mean that it is objectively much less safe than the UK. Living in the UK I am very happy to be safe in the knowledge that it’s vanishingly unlikely that my children will be shot to death at school, say.
