Not read all comments, but way over ten years ago, I drank normal builders brew, whichever brand had the best offer on when needed.. with the smallest dash of milk.
I’ve not drank milk in over ten years now, so I turned to the fruit teas, and added, after it had cooled, some raw honey.
However for the past two years (partly coz of microplastics in teabags) I decided to try pouring boiling water over a few mint leaves from the garden, and oh my gosh… so lovely and comforting…. I sometimes chew on the mint leaves after I’ve drunk the infusion.
since then, I’ve experimented (and loved) other herbs from my garden too, such as
Thyme
Rosemary
Lemon Balm
Sage
Bay Leaf (Laurel)
Basil
Ginger (fresh)
Each of the above claim to give you various benefits.
Eg, if I get a rare cold, I drink Thyme tea, and it helps my airways, especially if I use a wide mouth mug, which enables me to also breathe in the aroma.
I’ve yet to try fig leaf, and Turmeric “mylk”, which also have benefits.
On occasion, with the ginger, I add some Ceylon (TRUE) Cinnamon, and /or fresh lemon.
Have fun experimenting, and don’t be tempted to let your first ever sip influence you, it can take time to adjust.
Not a tea as such, but on an empty tum and/or twenty mins before a meal, you could try
2 Tblespns of ACV - Apple Cider Vinegar (with mother)
Quarter Teaspn Bicarb of Soda - Organic
stir into half a mug of cold water, then add boiling water to “drinking temperature”, then I stir in a small teaspoon of raw honey.
The Honey is optional
i lost a fair bit of weight when I started this, and combined with rebounding, I got quite fit in my early sixties.
ACV with mother can be purchase at Aldi or Lidl, and last time I bought it the price was £1.99 500ml.
I buy it since online in 5litre containers, as it works out cheaper that way.
I also use a dilution of ACV in the water to rinse/clean supermarket fruit and veg to remove any pesticides if it’s not organic.
I love to hear new ideas too, as it’s nice to have a variation, and a range of alternative health benefits.
