If your router is down and you have an issue with your wi-fi that is nothing to do with Sky. It just means you won't be able to access Sky. You need to try and reset your router.

Unless they use Sky Broadband and then it’s everything to do with them.

clotheslinefiasco · 17/09/2025 05:48

@OhNoNotSusan 😅😅😁

I thought that too when I saw the thread title.

Also - if the OP has no wi-fi/internet how is she posting?

QueenClinomania · 17/09/2025 05:50

Mobile data, probably

Kitchendilemas · 17/09/2025 06:13

i had an issue last week. Took about 5 phone calls, a new router & cable before OpenReach finally agreed to investigate. It was an OpenReach issue.
i had to take days off work and use loads of my phone data while it was ongoing. You might be lucky. Sometimes they can fix it remotely. But you need to call them

mumofoneAloneandwell · 17/09/2025 08:51

😭😭 your thread title is super dramatic, I love it

Ohmygodthepain · 17/09/2025 08:55

I'm in Yorkshire and it feels like the ACTUAL sky is down with the rain, gloominess and seasonal fug.

Can't help with the Internet though, soz

No33 · 17/09/2025 08:58

You can check online if they are down.

It's likely your router etc that may be the problem. Turn it off at the wall and on again, and if still not working contact sky.

I looked on their and it said no more than usual. They fudge it no make up panic that’s it a you problem, not they problem.

OP posts:
childofthe607080s · 17/09/2025 12:54

Downdetector is not fudging it

you have a problem

most of sky customers are not reporting a problem

if this is a repeat problem for you - ask for a router replacement ?

Ginasonabendernow · 17/09/2025 12:56

I really want this to be a long thread

Well lots in my area reported a problem at the same time. Then now it’s ok. So I wouldn’t say I need a new router. I need a new internet supplier

I was going to give some helpful advice but I don't think I will now. No need for such bitchiness.

childofthe607080s · 17/09/2025 12:58

We’ll get a new one then

but any company can have a failure and they can’t always fix them right and sometimes it takes more than one go

this is shit happens not a conspiracy

Tetchy,bitchy, nippy.
Humour bypass as it was clearly a joke with no malice.

Retirement age is 65, isn’t it? And even if that poster’s age was in any way relevant, posts like that just make you look like an agist arsehole who conversely is getting the piss ripped out of her by someone she considers feeble. I’m 42 and have totally heard of Chicken Licken. You can’t blame her for your ignorance, @CareerChange24 .

Anyway, my Sky Glass was working fine at 6:00 when I got up for work, wouldn’t it be better just to get in touch with them?

But it wasn’t bitchy to me, right? Clearly stressed as I need internet for work and I get comments like that.

Oh dear @CareerChange24 your reply was unwarranted, MNHQ agreed.

@OhNoNotSusan was trying to bring a bit of levity.

It is saddening that your life, currently, is causing such stress/bitchiness.

Hopefully you have other things that "spark joy" though.

So you agree. She was taking the piss. So I clapped back. Done
