I guess it may be fake, but there’s no reason to think it would be.
So many threads on here about the flags and the March etc. Lots of posters saying it’s ridiculous that these things are seen as far right, racist or racist.
The exchange in this clip could have been straight out of Germany in the 1930s.

All I have said in my posts is that the thread was hijacked without showing any support for Muslims, who were the subject of the OP.

That all sounds so awful and dramatic until I realise you mean people protesting a genocide ..the other things are criminal behaviours. If you oppress people it’s unreasonable not to expect them to react. Thousands in unlawful starvation detention for example…what decent person could support that? Mass murder, ecocide and more. The synagogue I attend has had security gates and a guard post for years so how are the things you raise happening?

It is, and I am dismayed that people are angry at minorities for talking about their lived experiences. It makes it a very scary world that we live in.

@flyingsquirrelsagogo what's the context for this video please? I can view it but I can't get any further than that as I don't have Facebook. So I'm wondering what happened to the family. Or if it's just totally staged. Or if the gentleman at the door just assumed they were feeling under threat.

This. As a Black Woman I am horrified by what is happening at the turn that this Country seems to be taking. So much hate being directed at different groups of people. Lots of people are suffering. Lots!

I agree, the time is for minorities to unite. That’s not what was happening on the thread. The experiences of Muslims were dismissed by those implying others are more deserving.

It’s a video of an older white man, apparently filmed at a ring doorbell, offering his house as a place of sanctuary to a Muslim couple. The unseen man says his wife is afraid to leave the house.

It may well be fake. The photo of a sea of Union flags showing the Arc de Triomphe in Paris is widely being used to show the Unite the Nation show of intimidation last Saturday, and it’s certainly fake because the Arc de Triomphe isn’t in London and the flags were mainly St George ones.

The red crosses painted on houses where people of ethnic minorities aren’t fake. They look like Eyam during the Plague. It’s horrific.

I am actually disturbed and aghast at how acceptable Islamophobia is now. It’s just casually widely accepted speech to insist Islam (and by definition Muslims) have no place in Western societies.

I didn't read the comments that actually said others more deserving. And I still don't understand why this thread should primarily show solidarity with Muslims. If we are to tackle racism then it must be all racism. Nobody should suffer ethnic or religious persecution. If we set up a selective or "graded" system of racism then aren't we in fact creating a new form of it?
