How will you mark the occasion? Cheering him on as he parades through London? Trying to catch a glance? Not caring? Etc

He won't be visiting London.

He's having a carriage ride around the Windsor Castle estate, not on the public streets, and a visit to Chequers. I doubt if the general public will even get a glimpse!

I work near the American Embassy, but I don’t expect it will impact me much. During his first term as President, Trump said how much he hated the location. Vauxhall is….mostly high rise flats and public transport, and the river. Not pretty like it’s previous location.

I do find it weird that they knocked down the lovely previous building.

IzzyHandsIsMySpiritAnimal · 16/09/2025 07:33

No. He's a vile excuse for a human.

EmpressaurusKitty · 16/09/2025 07:33

The OP started another thread asking if British people mind being called Brits & didn’t come back. I think she’s researching or something.

Breadpool · 16/09/2025 07:33

My dc regularly shout "trump!" when the dog farts. Does that count?

BluePeril · 16/09/2025 07:35

Yeah, thrilled about rapist felon heads of state dropping by.

Why would we cheer for a man who is turning his country into a Russian-like authoritarian regime (I know Russia and can say the US isn't there yet, but it's well on the way) ? Who insults his allies on a regular basis, supports our adversaries and promotes backwards ideals? Not to mention the fact he wants to foist his stooge NF onto us. No thanks. I understand why the government have to host him but I think the best response anyone could have is total silence. Let's collectively ignore the man. That'll rile him up. No blimp, nothing. Silence.

Enko · 16/09/2025 07:39

No not excited. Unsure how you intended the vote to go but I voted YABU. To even suggest that man creates excitement is unpleasant to me

Andnowshesapreschooler · 16/09/2025 07:41

I think we should all hide behind the sofa and pretend we're not home.
I'm sure KC and QC would be happy to escape that visit.

Westfacing · 16/09/2025 07:42

How much of the original building remains is a different matter - the facade has been retained. The work went on for years - I use to work in Grosvenor Square.

Are you trolling us???

lessee167 · 16/09/2025 07:43

Seriously couldn’t care less. Hope most people ignore him when he’s here. Bet poor Charles is dreading it.

Nagginthenag · 16/09/2025 07:44

Bet he thinks all the sodden, half mast telegraph pole flags are specially for him......

CallMeMessy · 16/09/2025 07:44

If they want people ‘cheering’ they’ll have to get in some actors and pay them really really well.

TheCountessofLocksley · 16/09/2025 07:52

Excited? really? How very bizarre? The man is an abuser who shouldn’t be setting foot in the UK. He is a spiteful petty minded little tyrant with the temperament of a badly behaved child. I see nothing to be excited about - we aren’t children excitedly waiting for Santa to visit.

I hope reports of a giant pic erected outside Windsor of the orange shitgibbon with Epstein are correct. I will be watching/recording the Ch4 Trump v the Truth broadcast - I’m excited about that a. It’s about time the media started to hold him accountable.

DonaldJohnTrump · 16/09/2025 08:05

Me. I am. Bigly time.

And even then one has a vision of a few lacklustre extras saying ‘Hooray’ in an unconvinced manner.

Mikart · 16/09/2025 08:06

Am I fuck.

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 16/09/2025 08:07

I can only assume you're being sarcastic. I can't wait for him to eff off.

Radiatorvalves · 16/09/2025 08:14

I’m going to be in London tomorrow for an entirely unrelated meeting. I’m contemplating taking a 🍊💩 sign with me just in case I can join a party. The visit is avoiding London because the demos would be massive.

He’s a fucking awful man. The world is much less stable with him and his cronies at the helm. And democracy is crumbling. For those of you not near London I understand Channel 4 is running a day of programmes debunking his lies.

Strange post lol I doubt the OP will be back

maudelovesharold · 16/09/2025 08:24

The majority of the UK will be totally indifferent to his visit. Unless there’s some kind of faux pas, which would amuse us for a few seconds!

Springgreenz · 16/09/2025 08:25

I’d like to see thousands of people line the streets and silently turn their backs and ignore the cavalcade as it passes by.
