... which I paid for?

Apparently, it is paid for by weight, so could I not let her do it in future? No please. Nothing else.

She is 23 months old. So charge me the extra f**king half pence then tosser!!!

It came to 21p. She had taken two 23 month old sized bites. Which is why I was buying it in the first place!

blousy- I assure you, this one is a classic. Everyone on top form, well worth the read.

IorekByrnison · 03/06/2008 20:04

That's not me. It's Martian Bishop. I'm only half-Welsh. That's why I have a strong sense of decorum but lack the self control to act on it.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 03/06/2008 20:09

I'm just interested about the idea that childminders are working class. I would not have thought that!

Tortington · 03/06/2008 20:10

its hardly a profession - more of something one can do

I was once a childminder but didn't have nearly enough working class grit and determination to deal with all the snot.

SupermarketCashier · 03/06/2008 20:17

OMG - A class war. How brilliant.

Blandmum · 03/06/2008 20:17

IorekByrnison , it is a picture of me caught on CCTV, when I was robbing the Poor Box in the local Chapel.

I think it caught me best side....

SupermarketCashier · 03/06/2008 20:22

I am of totally Irish heritage.

Hmm
ElfOnTheTopShelf · 03/06/2008 20:30

I personally thought that childminding is a fab job, especially those who have their own children - a way of staying at home with their little ones but still getting a fairly decent income!
And isnt CM a bit like early years teaching, especially with these new government targets etc. My 2.8 year old knows her numbers, shapes, colours and alphabet - vast majority taught by the CM

Get it right fgs it's "feckin eejits" ye feckin gobshite!

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 03/06/2008 20:33

I dont have a problem at all. I was just surprised at the idea posed that being a childminder makes somebody working class.

Hassled · 03/06/2008 20:34

Elf - childminding is a very hard, demanding job and I don't really think choosing to be a CM has anything to do with class. For some it's a vocation, for others just practical.

MB - that picture of you robbing was just *so flattering. Is the hat from Boden?

Tortington · 03/06/2008 20:35

stealing from supermarkets makes someone working class ( no morals those people)

SupermarketCashier · 03/06/2008 20:35

Mhami - Thanks.

Mhamai · 03/06/2008 20:36

Your more than welcome.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 03/06/2008 20:37

Can I reitterate that I never said that childminders were working class. I said I had a childminder (re my dd stealing pick-n-mix) and somebody posted that childminders were working class, I was surprised, that is all!!

JeremyBentham · 03/06/2008 20:38

If only supermarkets were built according to my Panopticon design I think you would find we wouldn't have any of this bother.

I am surprised at the lack of irony on this thread.
