AIBU to ask you what to call my son…

My son is due tomorrow. We’re stuck on names!

Surname will be Kington Hall.

Our other son is called Leo, middle name John.

We both quite like James, Ben, Ryan, Eliot, John, Roan/Rowan/Rohan, but I don’t love any of them as much as Leo.

I like Harry, Jack, Arthur, Archie, Alfred, Albert, but DP doesn’t.

He likes Ethan, Marcus, Nathan, but I don’t.

I honestly feel like we’ve thought of every name and none of them are quite right.

Please help!!!

I know one Leo who has brother called Marcus, another with Orlando, known as Lando.

I think Laurie works well, but I’d go with Albert, known as Albie, became I have a v lovely Albie in my life

I think Daniel and Alexander and the best fit for your situation and preferences.

John is a really great name and would be my choice. Either John or James but I think Leo & John sound better.

You can't determine how people will pronounce your child's name, especially if they're not Scottish!

You can. There are Theos who are Tay-o, Mias who are My-a etc. Other than needing to correct people it's not an issue.
I can't say I like Rowan like that.

When I asked my 2 year old this (having offered a shortlist) he said Adam. Or Poohead.

I have a ds with one of the names on your list.

We also had Felix, Leonard, Seth, Sebastian and my favourite (not dh's) Rufus on the shortlist

With the exception of Mr Bean aka Rowan Atkinson, I have never heard of Rowan being anything other than a dog or girls name so definitely not Rowan, it's awful for a boy.

A friend has just called their baby Laurie and in reality, it's awful. I didn't mind it before it was born but it's not good. They're having huge namers remorse.
