He's not putting fumes in people's lungs from his car and sees people doing illegal activities that kill others or make our premiums go up.

There are noticeable speech patterns of certain posters on this thread, particularly those vehemently defending Mikey.

If you think there’s sock puppet ting going on then report it. But troll hunting isn’t allowed.

I do find it very amusing when people can’t comprehend that someone has views that don’t align with theirs do they must be bots/trolls/one person. Like how arrogant to think that if they don’t agree with you something must be wrong.

SecretNameAsImShy · 28/08/2025 23:24

I love him. Like others have said, if people didn’t constantly break the law whilst driving he wouldn’t have got under so many people’s skin. May he long continue!

Any fecker filming people on their mobile phone for whatever reason, is usually a twat <gavel>
If this monetising Mikey bikey cunt wants to be a citizen on patrol, he can join the Special Constables.

So if someone was attacking me am I a twat for filming them?

ChattyGeePeaTea · 28/08/2025 23:29

In my local neighbourhood we have recently had a problem with a bunch of older teens / early 20s hanging round the shops selling drugs and being aggressive. The police do not give a single shiny shit when they are called, but are willing to take action later if you film it and send them the evidence. Members of the local residents association have taken it in turns to hang out at the bus stop to film drug deals and aggressive behaviour and send it to the police, who have asked them to keep doing it as it is valuable evidence either for the simple offences or as part of a wider pattern. (I am not a member of the residents association and I don't have the time, before anyone asks)

None of the kids in question have ever seriously hurt anyone and AFAIK they only deal weed - so while what they are doing is illegal, I'm sure that some of those on this thread would say that they are not being dangerous while dealing drugs, spitting at old ladies and threatening to shank people who tut at them.

Are the residents association concerned citizens assisting a radically underfunded and under-resourced police force, or are they slimey dobbers? And what is so different about middle class phone addicts in cars breaking the law?

Well said. Sorry to hear about your drug dealing twat locals. Could you ask your police neighbourhood team to consider installing CCTV, even if it’s a decoy? My DS got this done in her street!

I have a Ring doorbell and PCSOs were doing door to door enquiries a few weeks ago as a young lad had been chased out the nearby ginnal earlier by 2 other men. I wasn’t sure what the outcome was but it was enough to do door to doors. I caught the whole thing on my Ring doorbell and sent it to the police via a link they sent me. I suppose I am a slimey dobber according to @Mikkymik

Just wondering why?

If his only purpose was holding people to account he wouldn't purposely escalate for engagement.

For the record he's almost always in the right but that's not enough for him, he needs to be in the right and start a fight, otherwise he'd report and move on.

His last video he the his bike at a moving car which is increasing the risk of an accident which shows his priority.

ImGoingUpstairsToTakeOffMyHat · 28/08/2025 23:19

So should he be super polite and lovely to law breakers? People putting others’ lives at risk?

Maybe, just maybe, they deserve having their arse handed to them?

You think that someone that has been wound up is going to drive safely?
I can tell you now that they won't and that is the main reason why he shouldn't do it.

If this had nothing to do with stroking his ego, he could film the plates of the car, the driving infringement and just send it to the police.

Anything else is just him getting his rocks off.

JudgeJ · 29/08/2025 09:21

XenoBitch · 28/08/2025 23:20

He would only be "pushing it into your vehicle" if you were breaking the law.

Who elected him to be a policeman? As far as I would judge it he was sticking a weapon in my face and I would react accordingly, the old saying 'two wrongs don't make a right' applies here. Before anyone else makes a stupid comment I don't break the law in my car eg use my phone, nor do I allow myself to be distracted by screaming children in the rear as so many women seem to be and I don't drive a car that's too big for me to handle, again in this area something often seen.

JudgeJ · 29/08/2025 09:27

HungarianBoat · 28/08/2025 23:02

He once broke the law, acknowledged his mistake and reported himself

He must find that hair shirt very itchy in this warm weather. Obviously all the zealots who are worshipping at his feet will believe him when he says he only broke the law once, other more discriminating people might think Really???
Does Superman take snaps of all the cars causing chaos outside schools so that the little dears don't have to walk 100m?

Its a helmet camera like many cyclists use. Its no different to a dash camera. He isn't sticking a camera anywhere

Chiseltip · 29/08/2025 09:44

It's just a trauma response, his father was killed by a drunk driver, so now, instead of dealing with it, he's channeled his grief into this pretend police officer persona.

He is a private care worker for a family, so not even involved in the legal profession.

He does some "useful" interventions, stopping drivers cutting through junctions , but the mobile phone thing is just stupid.

I have fuck off big screen in my Tesla, and I can sit in traffic all day long tapping away like a teenager on Ritalin, that's fine! But if I so much as glance at another screen in my hand, suddenly I'm Mikey's worst enemy.

If he wants to be a Police Officer he should apply and see if he has what it takes to pass recruitment, but a grown man, pretending to be one, is mildly pathetic.

He’s not going round picking on random people, it’s selfish twats breaking the law in the most dangerous ways.

Sometimes people deserve having their arse handed to them

The problem is that, from what I have seen, it's not just "selfish twats" - it's often people who have made one misjudgment, sometimes because of bad signage. The fact that he chooses to put himself where he knows people regularly do something wrong does tend to indicate that a sign would avert a significant proportion of the problems, but it doesn't seem to occur to him to lobby the authorities to put one up. But it does mean that he gets to bully people for what is, quite often, an understandable mistake. Can he really claim that he's never made a mistake in his life?

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 29/08/2025 09:50

Why is he peering into cars and not watching the road and being aware of and alert to everything around him? Sound’s like a dangerous road user to me. As well as being a privacy-breaching creepy snooper.

And a vigilante, of course.

You don't need a sign to not use your phone. Keep left signs are there and clear to see. People ignore the signs

I do agree that the law on this is quite inconsistent. I was once stopped by the police who thought I was dealing with my phone. I was really puzzled as my phone was safely zipped away in my handbag, then I realised that what they had seen was me turning off my satnav as I was waiting at a red traffic light and quite near home. When I pointed that out they were very apologetic, but my thought was - if they thought turning off my phone was such a dangerous thing, why didn't the same logic apply to turning off the satnav?

If you don't understand the post, it may be you who has the cognitive impairment. It's perfectly comprehensible.

TheNightingalesStarling · 29/08/2025 09:57

I wish I had had a dash camera for what I saw the other day...

A moped driver texting while going round a junction then cutting towards multiple lanes as he realised he was in the wrong one.

Ratafia · 29/08/2025 10:01

HungarianBoat · 28/08/2025 23:07

You're still distracted and not focusing on the road. Once you put the phone away the distraction still lasts in your brain. You're still driving and you're purposely not focusing on that road

If that's the reasoning, we should be banning hands-free phones and people talking to their passengers.

He's catching people breaking the law. Perfectly legal and safe. He's not causing danger. He's catching people causing danger. Not breaking privacy at all.

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 29/08/2025 10:05

Yes, that’s what vigilantes claim to do, catch people breaking the law.

Ratafia · 29/08/2025 10:01

If that's the reasoning, we should be banning hands-free phones and people talking to their passengers.

A friend of mine was killed on his motorcycle by someone in a car on a hands free call. A big part of the driver’s court case was that he was distracted by the call. And he was blamed for that. He was found guilty and sent to prison. The police provided a load of evidence about how much more a hands free call distracts you than a conversation with a passenger. To the extent I’m amazed it’s allowed.
