I quite like her, liked her on The Apprentice. Disagree with her on this though.

Yabu - its fine
Yanbu - not for it

Manifesting enough money to even have this be an option though 🙏🙏

No. 1) in relationships, smashing up someone’s stuff is considered abusive as it inspires fear of violence. 2) what a waste of expensive items and precious metals. Just sell them. 3) what does it teach them? That when you’re annoyed you should lose your rag?

All of this, its not a healthy thing to do at all

jeffgoldblum · 23/08/2025 15:54

Seems abusive to me personally! 🤷‍♀️

Blarn · 23/08/2025 15:56

Agree, what absolute waste. Her poor dc are learning that being angry means you can break other people's belongings.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 23/08/2025 16:03

Yeah there's not really much of a debate to be had here tbh 😄

I get being pissed off and banning them, but breaking them is completely wrong

So when her kids are fed up with someone else's kids they'll think - i'll teach them ... i'll smash their toys up.

Fabulous.

QuickFawn · 23/08/2025 16:20

Seems an odd thing to post about

Peanutbutterflies · 23/08/2025 16:21

She's probably already bought them new ones!

Edited

I have an unhealthy interest in celebs 🙈

Daft woman. 🙄

Coffeeishot · 23/08/2025 16:24

She is just angry for views and attention her kids will get replacements they will learn nothing, Luisa will continue to be snippy, angry, strict for views and attention.

DancefloorAcrobatics · 23/08/2025 16:25

Publicity Stunt.

Coffeeishot · 23/08/2025 16:28

I mean she said no more tech for us whilst using.her tech to post online!

InMyOpenOnion · 23/08/2025 16:28

I am sure plenty of us have felt like doing that on occasion, but that's very different from actually doing it. It's appalling parenting, no idea why she thinks it's a good idea to post about it publicly. She should be ashamed of herself for such a terrible display of anger.

Anna467 · 23/08/2025 16:31

Meanwhile normal parents just don't buy the tech in the first place or take it away if it's a problem. But I guess that doesn't garner enough attention.

Catsandcannedbeans · 23/08/2025 16:37

I still remember my mum throwing my brothers X box out the window when he had been really rude to her and also refused to get out his room. I think she just snapped to be honest. I thought it was the funniest thing in the world at the time, and I don’t think she’s a bad parent for doing it I think she just lost her shit (freshly divorced, 5 of us living at home).

She isn’t right for doing it and I think she should say sorry - but I’m sure the kids will get a replacement.

CallieOMally · 23/08/2025 16:39

I’m a big LuAnna fan but she absolutely loves to wind people up 😂

Ratafia · 23/08/2025 16:42

Silly woman. She's just taught her children that it's OK to get into a childish temper and smash things. If she wanted to take the iPads away, the very least she could have done would be to give them to, say, a local school as they are absolutely invaluable for children with SEN.

PennywisePoundFoolish · 23/08/2025 16:46

I seem to remember Kirstie Allsop posting about smashing her DC's iPad up.

It's a bit of a mixed message to smash something up because the DC aren't able to regulate their usage. I don't know how old her DC are, not inclined to Google. And I guess it could just be staged and she's doing it for views, and to do the daytime TV circuit for a couple of weeks.

Charlize43 · 23/08/2025 17:07

Is she getting her parenting ideas from Joan Crawford? What an awful woman!

When is violence ever acceptable, even against objects? What a horrible example to set in front of children, to smash things.

Oh yes GMTV on Monday morning sitting sneering at the "against" mum.

RightOnTheEdge · 23/08/2025 17:12

I can't afford an iPad for myself never mind my kids, so definitely not!

Didn't Kirstie Allsopp do the same thing?

MamaElephantMama · 23/08/2025 17:12

Smashing up any child’s belongings sounds cruel and not something that will be happening in my house.

Zoono · 23/08/2025 17:26

If this wasn't a celebrity, mumsnetters would be outraged. I think it's a pretty horrible thing to do and I'm not a perfect parent. My ex partner still remembers being 4 and his otherwise kind dad, destroying his favourite toy in a rare moment of anger. He went through a lot as a child but the memory still affects him.
