I quite like her, liked her on The Apprentice. Disagree with her on this though.

Yabu - its fine
Yanbu - not for it

Manifesting enough money to even have this be an option though 🙏🙏

Join the Conor & Charlotte thread! Although celebs is stretching it a bit 🤣.

If she wasn't a celebrity that sort of parenting would be getting a safeguarding report if they told someone about it.

Put them in a draw, sell them, give them away to charity... lots of options that don't involve violence

I still remember my mum throwing my brothers X box out the window when he had been really rude to her and also refused to get out his room. I think she just snapped to be honest. I thought it was the funniest thing in the world at the time, and I don’t think she’s a bad parent for doing it I think she just lost her shit (freshly divorced, 5 of us living at home).

She isn’t right for doing it and I think she should say sorry - but I’m sure the kids will get a replacement.

This is where I can see a situation like this being understandable

Teenagers can be shits 😭 completely oblivious to their parents lives

It doesn't sound like luisa has any excuse to justify this

I don’t know who she is but she sounds like a knob

Glitchymn1 · 23/08/2025 18:45

No. I’d confiscate it for a time but not smash it up. We just have designated screen times, a bit longer allowed on weekends.

I think your mum was a Mumsnetter at the time! I remember someone posted about doing this years ago. She was upset and I think the final straw was being sworn at.

I love the direction this thread has taken. It must have been her.
My daughters will be on Mumsnet when the time comes. Second generation. 💜

I have an unhealthy interest in celebs 🙈

Sorry I meant that they posted about it, not you - it was clearly for attention and not to share their top parenting tips

i love celebrity gossip too 😂

Me too!!

Mumsnet has really helped me so far with parenting my dd, so if in 25 years its still around, I'd avise mine to use it, although to be thick skinned when it comes to aibu 😭

Also there's so many threads I'd love the kids perspective on 👀👀
