Just that, really.

Taking my time through the canon of his work.
Subscribing for 7 days to whatever streaming service that keeps him close.
(omg I'm so going to have to remember to cancel within 7 days)

He's the most beautiful person, and best actor, ever. Isn't he? Or is it just me?

The brief dalliance with Lily Allen put me off a bit.

You can have him if I can have Tom Burke.

you can have Tom B but I wouldn't presume to think I can have anyone. I am just literally some sort of teenage admirer (like, retro-teen)

A friend of mine has met him. They have mutual friends. I’m told he is a really nice man. Which is great.

Another friend knows Tom Hiddleston. Apparently he’s a bit of a knob.

and I have just cried more at 'Nowhere special' than 'Kramer vs. Kramer', I am all cried out, I need to go to bed and be wrapped up. Swaddled. And fall into an exhausted sleep.

check out 'Nowhere special' - making me cry rn!

Seen it - beautiful film. Sob.

I must be the only woman in the UK who doesn't find him attractive- I like my men a bit darker- but he's a great actor.

Nope, not the only one. I simply don’t get the attraction. He has a weird face.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 22/08/2025 23:00

He has a beautiful face. Square jaw, high cheekbones. Curly curly hair. Sigh. Sexy Northern Ireland accent - who'd have thought it!

Tom Hiddlestone was interviewed on Today earlier in the week. He was so sycophantic towards the team for even having him on (basically to promote his latest job) I wanted to throw up.

nopiesleftinthisvehicle · 22/08/2025 23:50

Nope. Tom Hardy as Locke all the way. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Unfortunately, it's one of the only films he's done that I can sit through. I hate all that adventure bollocks
Oh, but he's perfection as Ivan Locke 🥰
Sorry, you were saying about James Norton.. 🤭

LouH1981 · 23/08/2025 02:04

Yep. I’ve just ordered Little Women off eBay for £2 so looking forward to that.
What was Imogen Poots thinking?…..

Another fan here, he is just lovely. I saw him in ' A Little Life,' not everyones cup of tea but absolutely phenomenal acting. If you get a chance to see him in a play anytime, do it.

TheGrimSmile · 23/08/2025 08:11

Strangely I found him very attractive as Tommy Lee Royce with a Yorkshire accent but I don't like him posh. Tommy LR was a vile character so i don't understand it, it's very confusing. I can't understand it...

EstherGreenwood63 · 23/08/2025 08:15

I'm with you OP. As TLR he was sublime. And hot as hell. The fact he is a well-mannered brainiac is such a turn on.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 23/08/2025 08:22

oh yes, as Tommy Lee Royce he was sooo weirdly attractive. Not so much as Stephen Ward in the Trial of Christine Keeler “hello little baby!”. Which probably means he’s a brilliant actor.

DeirdreChambersWhatACoincidence · 23/08/2025 08:27

I can see the allure but I don't find him attractive personally. I do like his acting though, he's great.

May I recommend the BBC adaptation of War and Peace to you all

James Norton being especially delicious as Prince Andrei and Tom Burke being all dark and dangerous as Dolokhov

nortonfan9 · 23/08/2025 10:01

NC because very outing but I’ve got a personal video greeting from him on my phone which I watch fairly regularly!!

Oh, I have not seen that. Thanks!

Zingzoomyzingy · 23/08/2025 10:03

Since I saw him in Happy Valley, I can’t stand him. He was so good as a vile person I can’t move past that.

LimeGoose · 23/08/2025 10:22

He was very kind to my aunt when she was an extra on Grantchester, so I’ve always had a soft spot for him.

zingally · 23/08/2025 10:51

I loved him as Tommy Lee Royce, but always have a soft spot for the handsome baddie!
But when he was fighting with Catherine, I was all "yeah girl! Put the boot in!"

I saw him in the play "A Little Life" not long after binging Happy Valley, and... repeated full frontal nudity... ;) It was a really sad play though!

Gosh, you were brave. I heard it was quite an uncomfortable watch and a few people left / were crying.
It sounds like he had quite a hard time shaking it off each night too. It must really get inside your head.

He came across quite well on The One Show on Thursday. You can catch that on iPlayer
He plays Harold Godwinson. Series starts Sunday. Passion project took 8 years to come to fruition?
This is interesting for me only because our year 7s have to learn all that - Stamford, Hastings, William the conqueror. So am hoping for a bloody but suitable adaptation that I can recommend them to watch.
James was nice enough but would not commit to Glitterball. I do remember a thread on here theorising about why he had split up with Imogen (she dumped him iirc) Is that the same bloke?
