Reads like an April fool.

I've never heard of this tribe?

Also why should she be left alone. Imagine a brit trying to live in the US. Although can't blame her for leaving tbh.

Missing Texas woman found living among lost ‘African’ tribe in Scotland

Texas native Kaura Taylor has been found with the Kingdom of Kubala, a group living in a forest in Jedburgh.

Another video warns you to watch out for 'brown coins' (aka 1p and 2p coins) which can be portals for the Illuminati too.

These people are really not well.

I zig zag between laughing and concern for people with mental health problems not being cared for.

I originally thought when I saw the report in the Metro that at least perhaps they weren't harming others but now the reports of their children....

smallglassbottle · 21/08/2025 13:16

That's awful about the poor children 😢 it does sound like a small cult.

TooBigForMyBoots · 21/08/2025 12:18

They got lost.

🤣🤣🤣

A lost tribe? Oh wow! Isn't that the plot of Battlestar Galactica?

Frenzi · 21/08/2025 13:22

Yesitisred · 21/08/2025 11:43

The 'tribe' is actually a couple who have had 7 children removed by Durham social services and have now chosen to exclude themselves from mainstream society. No idea how the Texan woman fits into any of this

I love the fact that they have a holiday cottage in Seaham!

I'd imagine some pissed off Scottish farmer has a less grand tale to tell about 'sex maniacs, shitting all over his woods' or something.

I shouldn't imagine sleeping in an open sided tabernacle will be great in Scotland in January? I hope there's no kids with them.

I've just got Alan Partridge going "Lynne, these are sex people" in my head now.

I'm more baffled about how the African tribe arrived in Scotland??? Surely they didn't just hop on an Easyjet flight to Glasgow?! 😂

African tribe decide to head to pastures new
“Where can we find that’s like Africa, but isn’t Africa? I know - Scotland!”

isthismylifenow · 21/08/2025 13:50

LittlePigRobinson · 21/08/2025 12:40

From that photo they don't look like they're cut out for living through a Scottish winter in a tent.

I doubt it too. As apparently he is from Ghana and she is from Zimbabwe.

But having first names of King / Queen is not too unusual, as they could just be the English translated name. So they renamed themselves, but also used names that also give them a title. They really put a little thought into that part 😂 Not into the living conditions part though.

I suspect the American woman is their 'maid'.

So she's joined a cult

Is there a minimum number for a cult???

Ihopeithinkiknow · 21/08/2025 14:38

The first thing I thought of when reading that article was the Waco siege. You would think that woman from Texas would know how these things turn out considering Waco is in Texas but maybe she has never heard of it.

Chocolateisameal · 21/08/2025 14:41

i have a feeling that this is a summer problem. A sharp dose of the local weather will sort them out.

TheBewleySisters · 21/08/2025 15:11

I wonder if their tribe's tartan is The Black Watch?

TheBewleySisters · 21/08/2025 15:13

Black Watch tartan, in case of confusion...

To think wtaf?!! Texas woman and African tribe
pigsDOfly · 21/08/2025 15:32

So this 'lost tribe' is not actually a tribe at all. Sounds more like a very small cult.

They've given themselves a name very similar in sound to Kabbalah which is the Jewish mystical tradition, and taken the Jewish name of god.

Doesn't make them a lost Hebrew tribe and Jerusalem is most definitely not in Scotland; when they got off the plane they definitely took a wrong turning if they think it is.

noidea69 · 21/08/2025 15:36

Great work from the photographer getting a picture of the iron Bru, just in case we werent sure it was scotland.

Surely this will all go to pot, when the weather turns.

GarlicLitre · 21/08/2025 10:50

Scottish Borders Council says it is “working with Police Scotland” to manage the situation.
“This has included the provision of advice and information about housing options and other support services”.

God, I don't envy them 😂

Yes thats the funniest bit of the article if you know anything about how these poor council workers are going to need to 'manage the situation'!!!

dunroamingfornow · 21/08/2025 16:13

The information about the children is so disturbing. I was laughing up to the point I read that. Those poor children

Dontlletmedownbruce · 21/08/2025 16:18

By definition they can't be a tribe can they, tribes are connected by blood. It's just another crazy cult.

The first thing I thought of when reading that article was the Waco siege. You would think that woman from Texas would know how these things turn out considering Waco is in Texas but maybe she has never heard of it.

It is two mentally ill people (the blog states that both of them have been sectioned and had inpatient mental health treatment). One of whom has convictions for DV, and whatever the rambling about an arrest for rape in his blog is about.

And this American woman, who is presumably also mentally ill or she wouldn’t have flown halfway around the world to join them living in a gazebo in Jedburgh.

So like Constance Martin except no babies yet (the seven existing children are already safely in care). Probably inspired by that case, sadly.

IMissSparkling · 21/08/2025 16:50

Top class info from the Daily Mail article. I didn't even know Co-ops had public wifi.

Ours definitely doesn’t! Clearly a better class of co-op in Jedburgh.

Struck me as very Constance Martin

Tigergirl80 · 22/08/2025 10:28

I thought it was a joke at first after hearing Americans were shocked to find out black people live in Scotland.😂😂😂 They’ve even got Iron brew and shortbread biscuits.
