For booking a day festival that I told my DP about months ago

Hi, I (F35) have been wanting to go to a day/night festival for a few months now booked the tickets a week ago. When I first mentioned this I wasn’t sure who was going so I said you could come if you want. About 2 weeks ago I found out hardly anyone could make it so it was likely just going to be ladies so I told DP this and said I still wanted to go. He definitely would not come with just me and my friends so went ahead. He has blew up at me because I said we could go together (he showed no interest by the way and has not mentioned it since) and that I’m being unreasonable for going. We have children together so I can’t go unless he is with them but says he’s now booked something and will not be here. I have no other childcare available as my usual options will be with me. So AIBU?

He booked something - Shame… he better sort out some child care for them then.

don’t let him sabotage your festival.

make it his problem to solve not yours by being clear you are going and he is in charge of the kids.

Sounds like a controlling relationship with an arsehole.
Has he form for preventing you from doing anything away from the children?
If so you should talk to Women's aid.

If he deliberately blocks you from going to this, he's a controlling bastard and you should get out of this relationship.

He deliberately sabotaged you. What do you think you should do?

Is he usually a dick about you doing things without him?
