I’ve got a big one. Best friend’s mother called one night drunk as anything and told her her dad is not her bio dad. Friend was 30 something. This was a decade ago. We all helped her find bio dad who she now has a great relationship with. The big kicker??? The father who raised her still doesn’t know 😱 Mum knows, child knows, siblings know, dad still doesn’t know.

Oh how cruel to the dad 😬🥺

And how tough to hear from the mum!

I'd anonymously tip the dad off so he's got time to divorce his cheating scumbag of a wife before she inherits everything if he dies first.

I can see someone who lives very close to me in the shower every day , he really should get a blind, I have moved my garden chair for a better view.

😂😂

Not really gossip but family scandal.

A male relative had a long term fiance of 15 years. He'd been having an affair behind her back... Most likely numerous over those 15 years. She was 14 when they got together. Anyway, he got his mistress pregnant, sold their house as they were "buying a new build and had to wait for it to be built" and was living with his fiance's parents. This was all a plan to liquidise their assets. He booked his MIL and fiance on a suprise spar day. Whilst they were there he got married to the mistress 😳 The majority of his family were there. I found out after, probably because he knew I'd phone her. His poor fiance found out after he was married. To be honest she had a lucky escape, he's cheated on every woman he's been with, including both of his wives. She was young enough to move on. I hope she's happy now but naturally she didn't want anything to do with his family so I lost a good friend.

What a coward. Hes a coward of a man 🤢🤢

Yeah, glad the fiance got her freedom

Also, was she much younger than him?

In my village there’s a convenience shop and post office that has been handed over to the owner’s son in recent years. Everyone thinks this guy is the dog’s bollocks, I have seen women virtually draped all over him, flirting with him, he’s seen as the pillar of the community, people think he is wonderful. But he has a history of shotgun offences from when he was a teenager (even had to be apprehended by police helicopter one night) and was also caught behind a bush taking photos of a toddler when he was in his 20s. There’s other stuff he’s done that’s completely wacko, he just an awful person. Everyone is all over him but I refuse to even give him the time of day and I think he’s noticed.

Why doesn’t anyone know of this past? I would find it hard not to say anything about the toddler incident, if it was a proven incident.

He is! I don't have anything to do with that side of the family. He was very good looking, had the gift of the gab and well off but not a very nice person at all.

He was in his mid 20s and already had a divorce under his belt and she was 14 when they got together. Her parents were fuming, thought he was gunna get her up the duff and leave her. But when the relationship lasted, she didn't get pregnant and from the outside looked like she had a great life they treated him like a son.

His first marriage was to the daughter of a millionaire and they got a new build houses as a wedding gift, they were both early 20s. That marriage ended when a woman knocked on his door with a baby saying it was his (It was). That baby is an adult now, he didn't have anything to do with that baby. When she was 18 she found the family on Facebook, very deprived childhood and single mum of 2 already. Still doesn't have a relationship with him.

If he's showering next to an uncovered window, he wants to be seen, surely?

A lot of people have just forgotten. His offences were committed as a juvenile so the police aren’t bothered. The parents of the toddler never reported what he did.

A family member bangs on and on about how her partner's ex hates her and treats her so unreasonably and it's really unfair and for no reason AT ALL.

She absolutely 100% thinks that we don't know it's because her DP cheated on his ex with her. She told her friends the truth, and one of them told us, but she lied to us to get sympathy from us and we all just sit there and listen to her and then laugh about it afterwards.

I know this makes us sound bitchy but she's also just a horrible person so we don't care.

orangesandlemonssaythebellsofstclements · 17/08/2025 14:34

Same family member also likes to boast about not having smoked for six months, but every one of us has driven past her work and seen her having a crafty one out the back, several times.

Wow - and the thing is, even after all of this, there is still a woman who will try and make it work with him!!

I will be honest, I dont know that I could ever treat a man who got with my dd at 14 as a son. But maybe they feared losing their daughter - seems like they did the right thing, now shes free of him

How sad for the daughter who had a deprived childhood without him 🥺

No, not a Mitford.

The relative was famous for racing in the early1930s.

He raced in Germany ( where he later died).
Hitler was chancellor, and admired him and spoke with him.

Not Richard Seaman? Drove for Mercedes and lived in Bavaria in the 30's, believe he married a German woman too.

Don’t you think these men deserve to know the truth?

Yes I do
They don't deserve any of it but I also know they won't believe me
Both women will deny it and ill get shot as the messenger
It's more trouble than it's worth and both men will have to find out the hard way
It's a shame as they are both really decent fellas but they choose to not see the red flags that are waving in front of their eyes

I hate my colleague, I do actually hate her. She is smug and up her own arse, gets in everyone’s business and will spend 15 mins out of every hour taking a “mental health break” (or a ciggy break as it’s actually called).

If you went for swim at the weekend she’d have swam the channel in 1 hour.

I work with her too 🤣

Theyre bullies - try and intervene and they will gather together to destroy you

You aren't responsible for these men. And agree that they've seen how these women have acted towards other people, it isn't your duty to save them xx

This pretty much mirrors a situation I know of too whereby I am friends with the ex-wife. Wonder if it's the same people or more likely just yet another cheating asshole. But if you're in social work, could be...
