Many years ago Marks & Spencer sold a cheese and apple sandwich. It was grated cheese mixed with some kind of mayonnaise and with chunks of apple. It was amazing. Then it stopped and it never returned.

Would I be unreasonable to email their head office to ask for them to reintroduce it?

There are still loads of Maggi products - like the recipes mixes and cook in bags, but none of those are the actual ‘papers’ that I like unfortunately.

Algebraicyourleg · 04/08/2025 07:11

Edit: I think they were Indonesian Prawn Crackers.
Not seen then for about 20 years. Still miss them.

persianfairyfloss · 04/08/2025 07:19

@PennyRest the Japanese washing grains were just adzuki beans ground up. I've made it with a good food processor and they were just the same.

Blank1234 · 04/08/2025 07:21

Tudor Savoury Straws crisps
Smiths Tubes crisps
Ready salted Chipsticks crisps
Texan bars - I now have to eat double deckers in 2 sections to get something similar 🫣 (eat the crispy bottom first then you’re left with the ‘Texan’ top) 😋
Safeway salsa topped chicken burgers
L’egal perfume or something similar sounding, can’t quite remember the name

deeahgwitch · 04/08/2025 07:21

Coty Wild Musk perfume.

monkeysox · 04/08/2025 07:21

Needapadlockonmyfridge · 04/08/2025 07:22

@persianfairyfloss beat me to it! Also was going to mention that Lush do their own version of them.

maldivemoment · 04/08/2025 07:26

Anyone remember Cabana bars from the 1980’s? I bloomin loved them. Coconut, nougat (I think?) and cherry pieces, wrapped in chocolate.

monkeysox · 04/08/2025 07:28

Mustard ham is missing from main supermarkets.
I found it in lidl. Now that's gone too.
