What do men say if their DW/DP thinks they fancy another woman?

There’s no AIBU really…. But what do men usually say if they’ve been caught checking out another woman, and/or being overly familiar with her. Wife will ask: ‘do you like her?’

Do husbands usually say ‘no, she’s not my type/don’t like blondes/bust too small/legs too short’ or something to that effect? Or something else?

DH would probably tell me that he thought she was attractive… he wouldn’t caveat to say not as attractive as me, as I’m not so big headed to think that I’m the most attractive woman in the world, he can think other women are more attractive, I know he loves me the most!

I think it would be nice if a DH/DP thought his wife was the best looking to him though 😅

I've been pretty Bi since my teens. I met my now BF 12 years ago through a neighbour of his - a girl who I slept with on occasions. She later slept with him. I chatted about with him when I found out. No issues and we had a laugh. Several relationships later we hooked up in 2017 and it never really gets brought up.
If it does it's very minor: we both checked out a very curvy girl in tight jeans when shopping in a supermarket. "You would, wouldn't you?" he said "Oh yes!" I replied. I've had drunken fumbles with female friends a few times - particularly in first few months of our relationship.
Due to his bad upbringing in a disastrous family situation, he hates the idea of 'owning anyone' and told me at the very start us seeing each other, that if I found someone more compatible - female or male - he'd be happy for us & still be my friend. He knows all the details of my violent Exs, the stalking I ensured and my psycho ex-'girlfriend' and has been extremely laid back of our relationship. I prefer it that way. We don't live together as he's partly disabled and lives in supported housing block. Despite eight years together neither of us know where we're going - he can't have kids naturally & due to my previous issues I probably won't want a baby now but who knows. We'll manage I am sure.

In his defence, I love my DH dearly and think he’s very attractive - but he doesn’t hold a candle to David Beckham, and I think he’d know I was lying if I suggested otherwise.

Women and men are different though, at least in general.

Women and men are the same in general they are different in details.

Op why would someone ask if their partner fancied someone if they were checking them out? The answer would be obvious.

Everyone is attracted to people who aren't their partner. That's normal. Blatant/prolonged leching is disrespectful and rude though

These days I think it's just as common for women to check out other women. If the woman & her partner have a good relationship and communicate well, I can fully see it not being an issue. I'm only a B-cup and have caught myself staring at some huge boobs on occasion. My BF thought it hilarious when he saw me doing so at a party: "Those are bigger than your head, you do realise?" he said. Lol.
It's 2025 so come on people, it shouldn't be a serious issue.

I know it might not seem like a big deal, but if I had a bf/DH who kept looking at women with big breasts (which I don’t have) then to be honest I think I’d have to end things… I know that might sound dramatic but I need to be with a man who prefers my body and is happy with it.

I fancy a lot of people men and women (im bi) but it dont mean im going to do anything.
Men and women are humans we can look.

40YearOldDad · 31/07/2025 14:03

I think most people would be lying if they said they never found anyone else attractive once in a relationship. Is that not just human nature? It doesn't mean you're going to run off with them.

I agree with this, but there are some women who will tell off their husbands if he looks at another woman… I’ve seen women glaring at, or giving stern ´what do you think you’re doing?!’ looks to their men. Or draping their arm around him, as a way of ´marking in their territory’ 🤔😅

I take it they were big boobs? I’d definitely be uncomfortable as a woman but if you guys are happy with it…

Yeah, it's fair to say they were.

Yeah, it's fair to say they were.

Does your DW/gf have big ones? If she does then it’s probably not an issue for her because it’s just reinforcement that she’s “your type”.

This is exactly what I think, but I think some people (women especially) get really really annoyed at their DH for it and give him ‘instructions’ about the woman if she’s someone in real life.

It should work both ways.

This… I love how big boobs is automatically equated with ‘attractive’ though 😂 Like what did the rest of those women he pointed out look like?

It does seem that way doesn’t it, look at all the women getting boob jobs, page 3 etc
I’ve had massive boobs to small ones and my favourite by far are the small ones! Men do just stare at them when they are big

That’s good but it should be men in real life if she points out women in real life.

It just makes me despair tbh, as a small breasted woman. I don't want to be leered by a creep obviously, but I do want a desirable, nice figure. I'm having implants very soon, but I won't be showing them off. Unless I meet the right guy!

I think that when women (or some men) say, "oh you have small t!ts, look on the bright side, men won't stare at you", it's like a backhanded compliment, saying you aren't attractive and you aren't visible to men.

Sorry to quote you twice, but in the situation that prompted this question, I was the woman being stared at by an older man, but he was staring at my face/all of me. So I suppose that not having big breasts isn't a barrier to attention from creeps.

Could be interesting if you reply to my earlier quote about big breasts! Do you also point out attractive real life men to your wife/gf?

Do you also take the p!ss out of women with smaller breasts?

I cannot imagine my husband checking out another woman in front of me. What sort of cretin does that?!

I assume he does find lots of other women attractive, though. There are lots of attractive women about. And, if I asked if he found someone attractive (not that I would, as it’s not really any of my business), I’m pretty sure he’d answer honestly. Finding other people attractive isn’t a crime. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Ah, I see.

OP, did you make a post not too long ago obsessing about your breasts and how no one would ever really find you attractive because you don’t look like a TikTok influencer, so you were going to get a bunch of surgery?

SALaw · 03/08/2025 23:24

All men say word for word this: “yes I find that woman the most attractive woman I’ve ever seen and I wish I was with her”. I mean seriously- different men say different things in different situations?!
