To ask if anyone has seen ufo, ghost, fae?

I am curious if anybody here has seen any of these things , such as UFO or a ghost or what can be known as “fae”? I have once seen lights in the sky which could have been the Chinese lanterns, but I am open minded and interested in this subject

That sounds horrendous! The first time I woke up with scratches I’d have been out of there 😱

I kept trying to convince myself I was doing it myself in my sleep but the last while I lived there it was getting worse, and in places I couldn't reach. Since moving, I don't wake with any scratches, and my bin doesn't russle!

What did it look like?

My daughter was playing in the park a few feet from me and I happened to look up to the sky. It was a lovely sunny afternoon with no clouds

It’s hard to say how high it was or how far away as there was nothing to measure it against but I’d estimate around 200 yds

A perfectly still dark metallic ball just sitting stationary in the sky, totally silent, it was like it had been nailed to the sky

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I took my sunglasses off for a better look and in that split second it had gone forever. I looked everywhere but couldn’t see it

The strange thing is that these have been seen all over the world for years

Whereabouts in Lancashire, Rosie?

It was near Morecambe Bay I think. It was a very strange place, no atmosphere. Couldn't sleep one night and I heard a voice saying 'it hurts' over and over again. The voice didn't sound normal. Then by our awning I could see a figure, it was grey/white.

I stayed in a secluded shepherds hut down on the south coast a few years ago and stuff moved constantly the whole weekend, from literally the minute I arrived.
i unlocked the door, put my stuff inside, went back outside and walked to the end of the meadow. When I looked back the door was closed, I’d definitely left it open, and when I got back all my stuff had moved from one bed to the other. The outside gas hob to cook on turned itself on numerous times, one of those ones you press in to ignite, but I never heard it click. My charger also unplugged itself and moved outside.

Our student house had a poltergeist. Things like a plate jumping off a table when no one was near it, or noises from empty rooms, stuff being moved when we were out. It was just there, it didn't actually bother us.

Someone mentioned it to the Landlord and he said we weren't the only ones. Not every year, but occasionally people mentioned it.

Poltergeist or boggart? 🤔

Dismissive, sanctimonious… and TRUE.

Ghosts aren’t real, Scooby.

How do you know?

How do you know?

The same way I know dogs can’t fly and the tooth fairy isn’t real. A lack of convincing evidence.

theduchessoftintagel · 27/07/2025 22:29

What interests me is the mundanity of it all. Ghosts moving chargers etc. Surely they'd do something more interesting if they were real. However on the subject of fae being real (come on now) I wouldn't mind a visit after some of the books I've read recently.

I saw a UFO in July 2023 on a lovely clear blue summer’s day. I think about it quite often

What did it look like?

Many people claim to have seen fae, how do we know they’re not real 🤔

Never actually seen a UFO or aliens but had a few ‘abduction’ experiences as a child and the last at age 15. Whether these were actual abductions or some kind of psychological episodes I don’t know although the last one left me with physical marks that could not be explained and some other information that always made me feel that was an actual genuine physical event rather than a psychological one.

Edited

Like what other information?

Yes. I’ve seen a few (ghosts, not aliens). And orbs. I was told by a medium once that I had a gift. Not seen one in a while.

Late one night, I saw a silver beam of light come down from the top of the chimney breast wall and land on the edge of the bottom of the opposite wall. A small female looking figure sat at the bottom. I looked away and back again. It turned its head and smiled at me. It seemed to be a child and its expression was loving.

A year later, I gave birth to a daughter who, in later years, was the exact replica of the figure I had seen.

5YearsLeft · 27/07/2025 23:58

My husband found a hilarious podcast about the fae. The host asked for people to share their experiences and SO many of them were along the lines of, “I was in a forest and for a second, I felt chilly. IT WAS THE FAE.” Or, “I stood up and was dizzy for a moment… IT WAS THE FAE.” There WERE, of course, a few stories that were much more interesting/believable, but it was as if the host didn’t consider the quality of any submission and just shared everything that was sent in. “I once found a stick. It was a bit of a funny shape. IT WAS THE FAE.”

My opinion? Humanity has shared these stories, of ghosts or fae or something mysterious in the sky, for centuries so it’s not going to stop soon. Is it real? Enh. Science and superstition have been fighting like cats and dogs about it since forever. As always: having personal beliefs is fine; just don’t be a twat waffle about them (on either side).

Yes to all those! I also do videos for YouTube on all manner of subjects, including paranormal! My next video, which I'm in the process of doing, will be a mix of my own UFO sightings, including the one I saw last Thursday evening!

Changednametonight · 28/07/2025 01:57

How.wonderful that those who get kick out of diminishing others' experiences have somewhere to come to tonight.

One could be forgiven for thinking they were unwelcome elsewhere....

That’s actually a relief.

I’ve asked lots of people why ‘Mum’ flashed up on my phone a few weeks after she died. We’d cleared her phone back to factory settings and given it to her friend.

I’ve googled like mad and couldn’t come up with an answer, so I’m glad to have one now.

I’m glad I’ve given a few people a laugh on a Sunday morning, anyway.

They do recycle old numbers, it’s true, but why would the person with the new number have yours? Unless you had sent messages or tried to call your mums old number perhaps. I know some people do that which is understandable.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 28/07/2025 07:43

No, I hadn’t.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 28/07/2025 07:46

We gave her phone to her best friend, as I said, cleared of all data. My number wasn’t in there, and my mum’s friend didn’t have my number, and wouldn’t have rung me anyway.

Also, I was teaching and didn’t answer it, and I’m sure if she’d rung me for any reason, she’d have left a message.

It’s a bit odd. I’m sure someone on here will be able to offer an explanation, though.

When I was younger I woke to find my Papa, who had died many years before, holding my foot at the bottom of the bed. I didn’t see him properly but knew it was him. I’ve often wondered if it was just a dream but it didn’t feel like one. I wasn’t scared despite things like this scaring me generally.

The only other time in my life of experiencing anything like this was when we moved in to our current house. From the of the bedrooms I glimpsed someone going down the stairs a few times and could also smell cigarette smoke at the same time.

My sister was with me one night and we were on the floor in the room (child’s bedroom so we were playing with DC) and she caught a glimpse of it too. I hadn’t mentioned it to her but noticed her glance round to the stairs as if someone was there, and she said she thought someone had gone downstairs.

It was just enough to make you look round. But then no one was there. First couple of times it happened to me I didn’t think anything of it, but then when it happened again I started to wonder.

We have a unit in front of the landing bannister now so can no longer see the stairs from there, and I’ve not sat on that floor for a few years.

House was incredibly filthy with tobacco / smoke when we moved in and we had to strip everything and repaint. It might be that the smell of smoke was just lingering somewhere but the only time I could smell it was when I thought someone was going down the stairs.

Previous owners were both very heavy smokers - the owners H dying had prompted her to sell up. Neighbours told us if you went to the door the smoke was so thick it used to blow out the door!
