Malnourished starving children in Gaza

babyproblems · 26/07/2025 06:42

The photos that appeared this morning on my news updates of mothers holding their children, dying of starvation and extreme malnutrition in Gaza have absolutely broken my heart. I am not particularly news focused, of course I’ve followed it all but this morning it has stopped me in my tracks and took my breath away. As a mother of a 3yo DS who is sleeping peacefully in his bedroom, whilst we have a fridge full of food downstairs and a life of peace, I feel so sorry that those poor mothers and children are living this hell so undeserved and also so so lucky we have the peace we do…
I don’t really know what the point of my post is; I suppose I’m screaming When Will This End inside and want to tell everyone to not take the freedom and peace we have for granted; use your right to vote and use your privilege to make informed choices that steer the world away from conflict towards peace…

Sending a handhold to all the mothers’ whose lives are not being lived in peace and whose children are suffering 🕊️💔

It is absolutely heartbreaking
Bad enough when it is a 'natural' famine but a man made one is utterly despicable. That -'country' should be sanctioned and leaders sent to the Hague

Hear, hear.

Thsts been the one of worst parts of it for me. The fact that members of this forum (many of whom will be parents themselves), actually support what is being done to this helpless victims. They will justify it until the cows come home. Chilling and depressing 🙁

But I don’t think people are necessarily justifying what Isreal is doing anymore than people who are being accused of sympathising with Hamas. Most rational people can accept that it isn’t as black and white as that.

RainSoakedNights · 26/07/2025 08:49

It’s just mind blowing. And the fact that posters will still come on here and try to justify it is incomprehensible

It is, but they keep on doing it.

Incorrect, many members of this forum, are able to keep their emotions in check and debate without getting personal. They are also able to separate fact from fiction, and not take everything at face value.

Unless that fiction suits their narrative.

Dangermoo · 26/07/2025 11:13

No, I'm saying that not everybody has jumped on a moral crusade. Free speech doesn't mean being made to feel guilty.

It seems not everyone has morals...

Fordian · 26/07/2025 11:39

I think the Gaza situation is shocking, same as I do Yemen and Somalia.

But. Uniquely, Gaza has the ability to end all this today. You’re going to tell me they’re all powerless to do so. But I also recognise that the Gazan people have missed many opportunities to stop this madness but, for various reasons, haven’t. Hamas still enjoy wide support in Gaza.

And be reminded that some of the strongest defences against Gaza are on the Egyptian border. And you’ll note none of the Islamic world, with the exception of the militias of Yemen who aren’t starving, are supporting Gaza.

Hamas are facilitating this starvation (again, with the caveats of how much we can believe coming out of Gaza, with plump women holding skeletal babies…). Our anguish cannot stop this; but Hamas can.

Alltheprettyseahorses · 26/07/2025 10:13

Like I said, the mothers aren't malnourished.

So your hypothesis is what? The evil Palestinian mothers are deliberately starving their babies to death?

Rubbish. I've seen deletions of @dangermoo 's posts. You're one step away from Jews Control The Media.

People have different opinions about things. Thats utterly basic.

MrsSkylerWhite · 26/07/2025 11:45

Alltheprettyseahorses · 26/07/2025 10:26

I was being polite when I said the mothers weren't malnourished by the way. Nor are the fathers. I'm.not into fatshaming so I won't say any more.

What a revolting comment. The young mother on BBC News report last night, who’s baby, nothing but skin and bone, sucked his hands and mewed as she spoke into the camera, was most certainly malnourished.

How can you sleep at night?

MrsSkylerWhite · 26/07/2025 11:49

Comedycook · 26/07/2025 10:57

No one seems particularly bothered about the starving children in Yemen....

Oh, please.

ruffler45 · 26/07/2025 11:58

If Hamas were not around this would not be happening.

Hamas knew that there would be a military response to October 7 and that this was the likely outcome. So I wonder why they did it?

Featherruffler · 26/07/2025 12:15

Show me another country that actually feeds their enemy. This is what Israel is doing. They actually let food into Gaza. It’s another matter that Hamas won’t distribute it and it’s rotting away under the hot sun. It is all over the media, please take the time and effort and check it out.
Nobody is saying that the Gazans are eating lobster, caviar and wagyu beef. But to blatantly point the finger at Israel when they actually let the food in is just plain stupid.
I’m sick and tired of all the Palestinian supporters spreading this blatant lie (prompted by Al Jazeera and the likes of it) and participating in a smear campaign against Israel. Then they come onto this site and they make it a race to the bottom about who can cry more into their Kleenex about the starving children of Gaza, for fuxake!

I don’t see Russia feeding Ukraine….

They are terrorists who have got the palestine people terrified

savvy7 · 26/07/2025 12:21

So all the respected international organisations and media are blatantly lying? Let's come back to this thread in time and see who stood on the right side of history

You are just riding on semantics here and twisting my words.
Then let’s call it hostile territory instead of enemy for your sake, so even you can understand what I’m trying to get across.

RosaMundi27 · 26/07/2025 12:24

I'm still waiting to see a photo of a "starving" Gazan which isn't:
AI generated (yes, we can tell).
Photoshopped.
More than one person in frame and/or
in the photo with well-fed-looking people.

needtostopnamechanging · 26/07/2025 12:25

Children will lose weight and look undernourished well before the adults do even if the adults eat nothing

This is one of the most insane comments I think I’ve read on mn. Such a bizarre thing to say given the images that are in the press. I don’t know what you’ve seen @Alltheprettyseahorses but it’s clearly not what the rest of us are seeing. I think if you have nothing of note to share or any rational perspectives there’s not much point in commenting!

So you believe that news outlet in the UK (BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky News) is either complicit in publishing photos and footage of starving and malnourished babies and children that they know are either photoshopped or AI generated or that they don't have the expertise that you have to identify photoshopped or AI generated images?

I find that impossible to believe.

Sickening, inhuman comments.

MiloMinderbinder925 · 26/07/2025 12:34

This has been planned for a very long time. Israel stopped the UN from delivering aid some months ago and a famine was the inevitable consequence.

They've razed Gaza and are driving the remaining Palestinians into a massive concentration camp.

Heynonnynonny · 26/07/2025 12:35

usedtobeaylis · 26/07/2025 10:32

I feel absolutely helpless, and absolutely sick of people continuing to blame Hamas.

It's not a famine. It's a genocide. Keep saying it.

I agree but it's a genocide AND an Israeli caused famine
Cannot believe the people blaming Hamas for letting food parcels through
Have they not seen the US aid agency shooting hungry people on sight?
Their own workers have admitted it
It's harrowing but the Zios just want us to keep swallowing their lies
