I’ve been hovering around this milestone for what feels like forever, but this morning I finally tipped into it! Feeling super proud of myself, it’s been a long time coming!

RainSoakedNights · 24/07/2025 08:33

Thanks everyone! It’s been a long, long year. I still have more to go, but I’ll get there. 18.9lbs to go before I’m in the 100s rather than the 200s!

Yowsers! What a result, well done!

If you don't mind sharing, how did you actually go about it, what changes did you make?

I’m on weight loss injections.

I started 2 stone higher than my weight was this time last year, and it took me six months to lose it. I started at nearly 25 stone. I realised one day that the slow weight loss just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I was 25, unfit and staring down the barrel of a ton of health issues. So I decided I’d try the injections for a month, before opting to refer myself for surgery. It was literally a now or never situation.

obviously, being on the injections my diet has changed massively. I’ve still got some work to do, but I’m at the point now where it’s starting to happen naturally - my deficit is 700 calories lower than it was when I started, so I’m having to make different choices!

Just realised that this message is awfully unclear 🤣 I was 25 stone (ish, 24 11) at the start of 2024.

i was 22 stone and some change when I started WLI last year, after it took me 6 months to lose two stone.

The way I see it is obesity is a disease. You wouldn’t tell anyone else with a disease that they shouldn’t be on medication for it because it’s the “easy way out”!
