AIBU to think children shouldn't be naked waist down at Legoland Safari splash?

Enjoying a lovely time at the splash safari at Legoland Windsor and people are letting their children go completely naked running around bending over etc, yes they're having fun but I think it's inappropriate here considering the amount of people around.... Maybe I'm a prude, but from a safety perspective, and for other children too,, I don't know, maybe it's not an issue but I don't like it and think the staff should have done something

I can't get worked up about it....unless they're 14 or something.

It’s not great hygiene wise! There are slides on that thing as I have recall. Plus I think they could hurt themselves.

Bur I’m not overly bothered otherwise if we’re talking little kids.

What age?

Oh come on, do you think it would be any cleaner if they were all wearing shorts?

Oh definitely not but I'm aware other people will ... I have 2 of my own and wouldn't do that to them. We're taught private parts are private for a reason ...

Wasn’t a child assaulted at legoland a while back? I know that’s a one off but would make me wary. I wouldn’t do it.. they could get caught into others photos by accident. Or there could be someone dodgy taking photos. If you’ve no swimmers with you at least leave pants on!

Thatsjusthowitisyeah · 17/07/2025 17:09

🙄

How bizarre to eye roll at a post suggesting the op shouldn’t sexualise young children.

MassiveBackstory · 17/07/2025 17:15

YADNBU. It’s not you who’s sexualising them, some people sexualise them. Weirdos exist, everyone has camera phones. To avoid anxiety, victimisation, false accusations, etc. it is much better for the venue to have a blanket rule. This is what they do at the Diana Memorial Fountain in London too.

DiscoBob · 17/07/2025 17:16

I'd not want my kids to get in the habit of not wearing bottoms in public. I guess it might be a sensory thing. But if they're not potty trained I'd say it could be a bit grim.

If adult males are allowed in without kids then I guess it could attract perverts.

But if it's not breaking the rules I guess you can't do much other than ignore it or not go.

There aren’t enough eye roll emojis in the world for you.

Maybe the parents didn't realise you need swimwear? I think it's ok at legoland, it's mainly families and parents.

Areyouserioushuh · 17/07/2025 17:25

Id feel uncomfortable seeing this.
id also worry about potential predators in the area. You just never know.

Wanderdust · 17/07/2025 17:26

Under 5?! Get a grip

Jellyslothbridge · 17/07/2025 17:29

I think you have to go with children to legoland and they have special adults times so it's different to public splash park.

SENNeeds2 · 17/07/2025 17:31

It’s just not sensible from a safety perspective is it? There’s a whole pile of dirt and twigs mixed in with stuff - pedo paradise aside - they need a barrier to their bits for their own sake

Dartmoorcheffy · 17/07/2025 17:31

Anyone could be there lurking with a camera phone. I most definitely wouldn't let my children run around naked in public.

Squishymallows · 17/07/2025 17:31

I don’t think people without kids go to LEGOLAND

I don't see a problem with kids under 5.

Don’t they? It’s hardly Disney, but millions of adults go there without kids.
