To be so sick of men on podcasts

Just watching diary of a ceo and Eric weinstein is on. Its impossible to watch. Two men so convinced of their own intelligence they are just sort of talking in platitudes and smiling at each other as if they are so intelligent.
Uggghhhh

I enjoy political podcasts too, I just can't stand R&A. They have repeatedly been asked by female listeners to engage properly with gender critical arguments and they just refuse. I find them very arrogant

I do listen to the News Agents sometimes, I love Emily Maitlis. I also really enjoy Where History meets Politics with Iain Dale and Dr Tessa Dunlop

Yes, I can take or leave TRIP. I love Alistair Campbell generally, especially when he speaks about how his daughter calls him to account for his misogyny, but Rory is often totally tone deaf. That said, between the two of them the balance of left and right is pretty perfect.

I do love TRIP US though. Anthony (The Mooch) Scaramucci is brilliant and Katty Kay knows her stuff. They are really good together.

Do you mean the Lily Allen one?

there’s a few actually
and a few if just men ones are annoying too

just like I suppose, men and women in generally. Some I find annoying, others I love!

Whoever said Triggernometry is good and Konstantin is fit - I agree

I like Triggernometry. They do actually listen to their guests, have a good variety of types and aren't trying to ram their own views down people's necks. Plus I have a strange crush on Konstantin Kisin. Quite fit.

I cannot stand The Rest is Politics. Utter condescending claptrap. Rory Stewart in particular. Why people like them I do not know.

The interviews are OK. I find the RAW thing they do where they are.basically trying to get people to donate quite uncomfortable. I know why they do it, its hard to make a living through YouTube alone and lots of content creators have to solicit for donations. But nonetheless (perhaps unfairly) the begging bowl nature of it put me off them
Partly because they probably are doing all right (Konstantin does lots of TV talking heads stuff which pays well, and they do adds in their show) whereas you don't know the financial circumstances of the people donating.

So yeah, I don't like podcasters which segue into donation livestreams (less annoying of they are doing it for a charity/specific cause). Its At least one step up from podcasters who try to shill crypto though.

They've not done RAW for donkeys as far as I know. They stopped that when they wanted to become more professional.

Ah fair enough then.

I love TRIP US, also beyond the blinds.

They haven't done that for a very long time.

The only podcast worth listening to is Dear Joan and Jericha, by Vicki Pepperdine and Julia Davis. Just a shame they haven't done a new series in a while.

You need a dose of Blindboy
https://shows.acast.com/blindboy

Fascinating, factual, different every week from an Irish lad who’s recently been diagnosed with ADHD (I think). His grasp of amazing stuff and linking it all together is genius.

He has some very interesting interviews occasionally with fungi experts, cyber security professionals. None of it is run of the mill.

(I know, I know…. He’s a bloke, but one without an ego).

He’s also written a few books too.

The Blindboy Podcast

Hosted by Blindboyboatclub, who is an artist and author. An eclectic podcast containing short fiction, interviews and comedy.

Yes Yes Yes.

I’m a ten-foot Declan myself. Rub a dog…

@HangryLikeTheHulk I went to see him when he was in London on his latest tour. Pure magic! 🥰

Dog Bless @HangryLikeTheHulk 🤣

OonaStubbs · 17/07/2025 22:53

Why not listen to a podcast with a man and a woman? Or make your own podcast? It's not that expensive or hard to do.
