Not being able to drive. It's an absolute nightmare and I get upset about it frequently.

Peanutlicious · 16/07/2025 15:34

Domestic abuse

OurBeautifulBaby · 16/07/2025 15:35

I’m having extensive medical testing at the moment for a problem found incidentally. The NHS have been brilliant and have been seeing me urgently.

I know people who have to wait months or even years and I’ve been seen sometimes within days so I feel very well looked after but it is my worry at the moment.

WhenIwasyoungersomuchyounger · 16/07/2025 15:37

I can't leave the house as every time I try, I feel like I'm going to wet myself.

If anyone has been through this, please send ideas to break the cycle!

Englishrosegarden · 16/07/2025 15:37

Stage 4 cancer. Also trying to run a business (self employed) and buy a house while dealing with chemo brain. Life is very stressful at the moment.

smilyfairy · 16/07/2025 15:39

I had a sibling sadly die last month I’ve another that is end of life alcoholism .Could be weeks . Both in their 40s this is obviously so sad it’s also hard as it heightens the waves of chaos that is my family of origin .

WhenIwasyoungersomuchyounger · 16/07/2025 15:39

So sorry to hear about what everyone is going through, sending positive thoughts and gentle hugs to all who need them.

FloydWasACat · 16/07/2025 15:39

Dh became quaraplegic 4 years ago, can't move, can't eat without help, bowel care every morning, carers in our house 13 hours a day. Two kids, 9 and 15. I am exhausted

Redburnett · 16/07/2025 15:41

Working through all the 'stuff' from clearing parents' house. It has at least made me realise the importance dealing with my own stuff so my DC are not lumbered with it (although they would probably just hire a skip).

angelos02 · 16/07/2025 15:42

I was about to post something but my 'woes' are nothing compared to most of the posts on here. Thank you - it has put things into perspective.

OnlyFannys · 16/07/2025 15:42

Nothing in comparison to what some people on this thread are going through but Dp who spent 2 years "looking for a job" lost it after 3 months and now back to playing computer games all day. He says he is looking for work and I feel bad for constantly nagging at him but im starting to look at him differently (cocklodger territory) and for the first time I'm seriously questioning if we have a future together because i didn't sign up for this.

flowertoday · 16/07/2025 15:43

Parent with terminal cancer.

Other parent with dementia.

Sibling with mental health problems.

Job that I am struggling with, nice team but horrific shift pattern and repeated exposure to sadness and trauma. Important work - wonder if I am good enough to manage it as well as it needs to be done
Trying to get started as self employed - really struggling.

Oh and perimenopausal so sky high anxiety to help with all of the above.
My heart goes out to some of the posters here. Life is hard, hang in there xx

Yet you still posted 😡

This is completely unfair. What that poster saying was actually really kind.

I think I must have missed the announcement where MNHQ appointed you as the thread police, because you do this all the time

Everyone is allowed to point their own problems.

It is not a competition to see who has the worst thing going on.

Rainbows41 · 16/07/2025 15:51

Well this is a cheery thread, isn't it?!... 🚪💨

TennisLady · 16/07/2025 15:53

Being diagnosed with unexplained infertility after 2 years TTC and not really wanting to do IVF, but only having a year left of that option.

Crole · 16/07/2025 15:54

I'm on sick leave with exhaustion and probably won't go back 😒
I have nerve pain in my face, the side effects of the medication are grim

Stage 4 cancer, advanced osteoarthritis, severe degenerative disc disease, worry about my cat’s health, worry about disability benefits, worry about the world and all the horrible people running it into the ground and ruining humanity.

Apart from that I’m fine.

💐

Put on a big tena, say fuck it and carry on. Think about what the worst that happens? You pee in a pad, go for a walk and come back. No one will know or care and you’ll build up your tolerance. It’ll feel uncomfortable but you can do uncomfortable things.

DesperatelySeekingHelp · 16/07/2025 15:56

My husband has lost his job and we soon won’t be able to afford the mortgage if he doesn’t get another one soon which is proving difficult

Agirlandherdog · 16/07/2025 15:58

Trying to manage my terminal cancer diagnosis whilst looking after my toddler.

I was going to say the same... I carry spare trousers with me all the time just in case.
I also know that people who work in Wetherspoons are decent people (let you use the loo) and people who work in Starbucks are not!
