I can't leave the house as every time I try, I feel like I'm going to wet myself.

If anyone has been through this, please send ideas to break the cycle!

Could you wear incontinence pants for a short while until you get your confidence back?

I'm on sick leave with exhaustion and probably won't go back 😒
I have nerve pain in my face, the side effects of the medication are grim

Is that trigeminal neuralgia? If so, that is deemed to be the worst pain known to man. I am sorry the side-effects of your medication are so severe and problematic.

Mountain of debt, woek contract just ended, and endless, daily issues with school with ND kids.

Iamthemoom · 17/07/2025 19:36

Sending love to all of you, especially those of you grieving. This thread makes for heartbreaking reading and makes me incredibly grateful for the health and happiness of my DD, DH, DNs and myself. Wishing I could wave a magic wand for you all. I’m not religious but you are all in my thoughts tonight. ❤️

Having to buy a house for my in laws otherwise they will be homeless or have to re home their cats and, whilst doing this, watch as their house is sold from under them because of my MIL stupid financial decisions in collusion with her brother going completely over and above my FIL head when his ideas would have seen them sitting comfortably and not being able to trust her enough to believe that they will always pay us the vastly under market rent we would need to make this happen, otherwise we will lose our house and I won’t be able to run my company if I have poor credit….. So, yeah, most another day in paradise!

Oh and all whilst factoring in the fact my MIL has serious mental health issues that means she isn’t coping with any of this, can’t listen to reason at all and it’s caused my FIL a minor stroke.

Tutorpuzzle · 17/07/2025 19:39

I am so sorry @Ihateboris , that is just such a shockingly traumatic experience.

I need a new bathroom. I can afford the bathroom, not the £6-£12,000 I've been quoted to fit it.

Seriously.

I sat in Easy Bathrooms for an hour or so, designing a bathroom. Didn't know about fittings so I threw in some expensive ones, I could always revise down, right?

£4500.

Not bad! Got excited! Especially when they said the tiles were free!

Quote me up a large one I said!

£12,000 to fit.

My sister kitted out a very nice bathroom of free and very cheap high end items from facebook market place, sinks, baths and unit. You can probably find a fitter for a lot cheaper. If youre bathroom is unusuable currently then there are options. Although, ideally I would understand that a new proper bathroom would be the ideal scenario.

I have had 19 quotes.

Cheapest was 6k.

Toilet/shower/bath/sink and unit/extractor/full tile.

My bathroom continues to fester.

Everything. Life. It’s all one big giant shit-show, every aspect of which is trying to kill me.

The piece of scum who raped my daughter when she was 15 is getting out of prison soon (4 years on).

Same DD was pregnant and has just lost the baby, so supporting her and her (lovely) bf through this.

Debt.

Aging mothers, one with dementia in a home and one still living fairly independently but needing increased support.

The bastard only got four years?? I'm so angry on your behalf 😒. I hope your daughter is OK x

7 month old son just had open heart surgery…. Biggest worry is hoping he’s ok and will live a normal life

To fit?? A plumbing course would be cheaper.

That I'm ill again. It's a repeat of last week and I have no idea what on earth that was about

(It's a fever of some sort which comes and goes. Spent last Tuesday not knowing whether I wanted to vomit or pass out. I just want to vomit now)

It might be long Covid x

Buzyizzy217 · 17/07/2025 20:12

The government’s inability to act on the climate crisis. It’s truly terrifying to see all these babies and young children and more and more being born every day without a thought of the home we are leaving them. 🥲

My 3 year old son has severe chronic eczema which he's now been on Methotrexate since 1st Feb. Kills me everyday I can't make it better for him. He also has a peanut allergy which is petrifying and global delay so quite challenging behaviour at times..
But he and his brother are my absolute world so we'll get through it together x

Hello, has he tried dupilimab ? Methotrexate didn’t work for my sibling who also has chronic eczema but dupilmab cured him.

Heygal · 17/07/2025 20:14

Husband has cancer in his 30s. We have a baby and a toddler. I’m on SMP so money is draining. Life with two young kids is draining as it is. We are happy though sad at the prospect we might not have forever.
