Well I don't know that is true for you as you might be rich but for me the mega rich have influenced world government policies that have directly made my life worse including:
Ensuring we didn't invest in green energies enough and haven over reliance on gas and oil which has meant my utility costs have gone through the roof and have contributed to climate change.
Have constantly put profit before environment, meaning of rivers are full of shit so my kids can't swim in them the way I did as a child.
Pushed down the unions and pushed through Brexit to make sure that workers weren't paid enough, especially before the minimum wage when I used to be a £1.25 an hour in the 90s. Brexit has also fucked up my dds plans to work in Germany and mine to retire in Europe.
Ensured that big business wins over social enterprises other more community-minded inclusive growth.
Help create an environment in which houses became a commodity, meaning that all the new flats and housing in my city is being bought up by people that either don't live in the city or in the country just to make a profit rather than to make homes.
Elon Musks interference in the US election has resulted in Trump being elected which in turn will result in tarrifs and a slump in the world economy which is going to affect the poor for the most (obviously the yachts owners have made a packet on all this already because they have the capital to play on the markets which most of us don't).
Also influenced the media so we are swamped by right wing press ensuring we have decades of Tory (and now a right wing labour party and then probably reform rule) who have made the UK a far worse place to live in.
I'm sure there are lots more but I have to go back to my relatively poorly paid job 😁
