I realised on the first thread about lovely Stephen Fry, that I should have put an AIBU. I’m interested to know the wider view, beyond us sex realists on the FWR board.

Yes, he has, @HangryLikeTheHulk . Womens rights and feminists are a minority that are witch hunted and persecuted. And raped children who he mocks, could also said to be a minority.

Why is it that all the males that hate JKR for her feminism are either paedophile apologists, rape apologists, or have been charged with physical abuse and/or assault (Boy George for e.g)? Sadly, there are a lot of rape apologists also on JK's side, she gets a reasonable amount of MAGA love and support. It isn't reciprocated, she's not an authoritarian right winger, but because GC stance is so closely aligned with the Christian Right in the US. TBH, it's going that way here too.

There's an increasing difficulty with getting people to understand that GC views are not purely the domain of the right/far right parties. The Venn diagram of GC includes people from the political left and centre. Nuance is an ever foreign concept.

What about those socialists who come from the working class and live in leafy enclaves, send their kids to the local comprehensive and tend to have three or four bottles of champagne chilling next to the cheap Sauvignon and yesterday's leftover madras?
