At what mortgage rate are you now?

Our 5 year fix for mortgage is coming to end in Dec and we are at 1.6% right now. We have a good LTV, around 45% remaining mortgage on the house value.
We have been looking around and the best rates we can find are around still at 3.8-3.9%.
If you renewed your mortgage recently, what rate are you on at now?

I fixed a 2 yrs ago at 4.3 for 5 years.

munchingmunch · 11/07/2025 14:32

I haven't renewed yet but from talking to friends anything under 4% is pretty good.

spoonbillstretford · 11/07/2025 14:36

BEBR + 0.5%, so currently about 4.75%.

MysticHalfWitch · 11/07/2025 14:37

For once I got lucky and fixed three years ago at 2.09% for 10 years.

fireplaceember · 11/07/2025 14:39

I took out one with an adverse lender in 2020 which was 4.6 and seemed high… it’s worked out ok!

cocolokiko · 11/07/2025 14:39

3.99 here - seems ok

MidnightPatrol · 11/07/2025 14:39

On about 1.3% but coming to an end shortly too.

Anticipating my mortgage payments going up by almost 50%.

Toddlerteaplease · 11/07/2025 14:46

2.09. Renews next rear. I’m dreading it!

REDB99 · 11/07/2025 14:48

2.3 and it ends in just under 2 years. I think anything under 4% currently is good.

Twiglets1 · 11/07/2025 14:51

My daughter recently renewed at 3.9% fixed for 2 years.

Rosieposy89 · 11/07/2025 14:53

5.1

WakeMeFriday · 11/07/2025 14:56

We are thinking of fixing for 5 years, don't know if it's a good idea!

Our mortgage payments are going up by nearly 30%. I guess this would be the norm now for most people, which is a real shame.

I think we have 2 more years but will likely fix for 5. I think sub 2% interest rates are gone for some time.

A lot will be paying more as they won't have your LTV

Namechangedforspooky · 11/07/2025 14:59

1.6% here too but up for renewal in December. Only 4 years left to run so no idea how much more it’s likely to be

jamanbutter · 11/07/2025 15:00

4.05% fixed 5 years

Didimum · 11/07/2025 15:00

We fixed at 4.3% in May for 2yrs. We have 72% LTV remaining, 35yr term.

CoastalCalm · 11/07/2025 15:00

Thankfully I fixed for 5 years at 1.38% til end of debt - 8 payments left

LuckysDadsHat · 11/07/2025 15:02

1.8% and the fix ends next year. I am dreading the increase.

medianewbie · 11/07/2025 15:06

currently 2% interest only (40% LTV)
just been quoted .4.5% two year fix by current provider
(or 4% two year fix with a fee of 1,750 - ouch)
tracker is: 5.75% - even this has a fee of 1.75K

Can I ask knowledgeable mortgage folk - I currently have permission to let on my mortgage (which I dont' need) If I remove it, this will bring rates down yes?

WakeMeFriday · 11/07/2025 15:07

I wanted to fix for 10 years at the time at 2.09% but my DH thought that was high, sigh!

I think so, that could be making it high.

1.6 and due to remortgage at 3.8%. Thoughts and prayers.

IMissSparkling · 11/07/2025 15:09

4.something, on a tracker. Just arranged another two year tracker. Crazy to fix just now.
