I'm getting a bit confused about the timeline. Were they back in Wales in 2019?

Because the 2019 medical letter is on NHS Wales headed paper and refers to them attending a clinic/having tests etc. Did they have another address in Wales?

Yes I noticed that too. Initially I got confused and thought it was the 2025 letter that had the Welsh nhs trust logo (as I had just read they were no longer on the farm in Cornwall). Then realised it was the 2019 letter when I thought they were on the farm in cornwall.

FurryHappyKittens · 12/07/2025 21:52

@LiteralLunatic We mustn't forget that by 2019 the consultant was questioning that it was CBS at all, and mooted that, because it was SO atypical, it may be something else entirely.

This was talked about earlier in thread 5. He self published a book in 2012, funnily enough with vaguely similar themes as How Not to Dal Dir.

Yes I know, but it's interesting too that it has now been picked up on by the press. However my comment here was to subtly allude writing by a relative of Moth.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if the original books (Gangani and his) were joint efforts by the lot of them, they've now splintered and and Raymoth managed to pull off the get rich through novel writing scheme.

😂thanks for that lol

In light of the analysis by the YouTube fellow, let's look at the Penguin statement again.

The allegations are referred to as recent events.

Questions about Tim's health condition are intrusive conjecture. Note they don't name this health condition.

This has resulted in considerable distress.

Nowhere is there a denial about any of the allegations.

"Given recent events, in particular intrusive conjecture around Moth's health condition which has caused considerable distress to Raynor Winn and her family, it is our priority to support the author at this time," Penguin Michael Joseph said in a statement.

"With this in mind, Penguin Michael Joseph, together with the author, have made the decision to delay the publication of On Winter Hill from this October."

A new release date will be announced in due course, the publisher added.

Oh I see. Good point. I hadn't thought of it like that. Yes, I'm feeling Tim might have more to do with things, including the books, than we realise. All the focus is on RW because her name is on the books and Tim is ill but they are clearly working together as a team for the lies to hold up. Wouldn't surprise me if they are in fact co-writers.

What an unexpected twist it would be if it turned out this all began and snowballed over some kind of self-publishing book row between Tim and his brother. 😂

ThatFluentHedgehog · 12/07/2025 22:09

Nowhere is there a denial about any of the allegations.

Think we called it at the time as such. Just a non-committal surface pleasantry, with the real message being we are delaying publication.

ETA context for what my post is referring to.

It doesn’t make sense. There have been three books out since 2018, she’s won awards, done countless interviews and attended a lot of high profile events. You can read all about those on her website.

Her books have sold millions of copies worldwide, translated into many languages and she’s been invited to attend all kinds of events over the last 7 years.

That “office” location has seen countless tourists and journalists over the years due to books’ popularity, yet this is the first time anyone has heard anything about any of this.

It just seems so odd that someone would keep this much bitterness almost 18 years later - especially if one has been paid back (as the interview seemed to suggest).

So, I will ask again, why now?

"Don't look back in anger" all over again 😂

FurryHappyKittens · 12/07/2025 22:14

@Pianogirl1994

Because, as Chloe H has explained, she got a tip off from someone she met a few months ago. They suggested she look into Tim's illness.

She did so and found all the other stuff. That's why now.

No one involved with the embezzlement came forward, they were found when Chloe H was looking for something else.

FurryHappyKittens · 12/07/2025 22:16

And Ros Hemmings is bitter because the whole thing rocked Martin Hemming's faith in people and he was never the same again.

Pianogirl1994 · 12/07/2025 22:20

But there are letters which have been posted which prove that the husband was originally given a diagnosis of CBD (the one from 2019 mentions CBD specifically and that was after the book was written).

At that time, it was impossible for them to know that the husband would survive for so long (in fact, the book makes a couple of small mentions of the fact that he might drop down dead at any moment. So clearly, at the time, that’s what was going through their minds). The letters clearly show that doctors were the ones who came up with that diagnosis, not the couple - so surely they cannot be blamed for using a terminology that they were given by an expert neurologist?

Maybe the newspaper should post copies of the conversations they had with the medical experts they spoke with, in order to keep it fair?

The potential diagnosis came in 2015, two years after the supposed walk. The 2019 letter suggests he may not have CBD at all.

What's that got to do with your question of why now?

Choux · 12/07/2025 22:25

welcome @OriginalPrankster. how , pray tell does one run an unredact on a document? (Asking for a friend - a friend called Choux 😉)

FurryHappyKittens · 12/07/2025 22:27

I think best not to unredact the letters here if they've deliberately kept parts hidden to protect the Trusts and medical staff.

(Lest anyone thinks I have alternative insights into why Moth rarely engages in interviews…)

FurryHappyKittens · 12/07/2025 22:37

One thing that really puzzled me is why they never bought a house of there own. They've been more than able to afford it for years now.

Is it something to do with them having to do it under Walker, and what that bring up when the bank does checks?

@Pianogirl1994 I think most people would hold a lot of bitterness if they were worried about their family business going under and not being able to pay wages, only to find a trusted employee had stolen a huge amount of money from them. Martin then had to spend many evenings going back through the books and working it all out. It must have been incredibly stressful, not something you forget easily
