Silly little conspiracies you believe in

Not serious ones like Diana was murdered etc, but silly little ones.

For example,

when it comes to wipes in a packet, I’m positive they rig it so more than one wipe comes out at a time. Then they make the sticky reseal not as sticky so they dry out quicker meaning you have to go and buy more instead of using what you’ve got

What I can’t seem to understand is how on Earth my new book is now in my suggestions on Amazon. I haven’t bought books on there for ages and then they tended to be a different genre to this recent one. I also haven’t spoken about these books as my husband doesn’t really read and certainly not about this topic! Weird…

mind reading software.....👤

I don't disagree with you at all but I learnt (on here!) to keep the packet upside down. Keeps it closed and harder to dry out.

I keep mine in a zip seal sandwich bag once opened.

NeedAnyHelpWithThatPaperBag · 26/06/2025 18:36

Anything you buy to help with something actually makes it worse.

Did you pay by card or buy it online?

Mobile phones are designed to break after 2 years when your contract is up.

By card in a shop. Surely this tracking doesn’t extend to card use in shops too?!

Stop it! I can’t deal with this level of Black Mirror! 😅

The spoon in Nutella jars is deliberately designed to just about not fit — so you end up licking the lid like a gremlin.

My husband thinks once you become a glasses wearer your eyesight rapidly declines...

My 46 and 43 yr old siblings think the same!

Squinting all over the place.

Being super short sighted and a glasses wearer since 11,do not understand their rationale🤣

FanofLeaves · 26/06/2025 18:56

InNewYorkNoShoes · 26/06/2025 18:07

I actually believe this.

Me too.

I had to sit through the film though and oh my god. I wanted to murder them all.

I really like the one about Catherine’s wedding dress

Rocketpants50 · 26/06/2025 18:56

6 times I have had to go through the same temporary traffic lights today, every single time they are red.

There is a crossing I always cross at walking, everytime I have just missed it to go green so have to wait until it goes through the pattern before able to go green again but if I am driving through same lights I will always get stopped by a red light as green man is showing.

It's all useful data..........
Was it 'catcher in the rye'?

How do you know if you've never called at a quiet time?

Cos I can call on different days, different hours and I always get that message

It’s certainly got my niece nagging for a baby! And why on Earth did this news make Good Morning Britain?! Mummy Pig was interviewed FFS.

WHY DID the birth of a cartoon pig make headline news?! It was so odd.

Radio stations always play their adverts at the same time, when you are switching through stations looking for music every station is playing adverts.

marshmallowpuff · 26/06/2025 19:35

ohyesido · 26/06/2025 17:04

Links to other sites are strategically placed so you will inadvertently click on them with your thumb when doom scrolling through an app and get a webpage open up. Gives me the absolute rage

There’s data that shows that on Twitter, it’s actually been deliberately set so the ad links open like this (ie. when you’re scrolling). So this is one that can actually be true!

Yes! Also TV channels.

When companies life Persil or Fairy release a new improved laundry powder, surface cleaner, etc they gradually make the previous 'best ever' products less effective so you have to try the next level up.

That the council don’t really recycle the blue bins, it just sits in warehouses. I still put my recycling out, so I’m not a conspiracy nutter 😃

😂 😆 😆

That the bus on the opposite side to which you need always comes first

And that it always rains on the afternoon school run

I’ve thought that it always rains on the afternoon school run for years now. It starts five minutes before and finishes once we’ve got home. It’s a small window where you absolutely have to leave the house and can’t wait for the rain to stop

PansyPotter84 · 26/06/2025 19:40

I KNOW that until I was 10 Santa was real.

My parents only started doling out the presents after that because there were too many greedy kids in the world and poor Santa had to retire.

He was 100% real when I was a kid.

No
doubt
about
it!
