To think women’s Jeans are aimed at attracting male glances

I swear every bloody pair of jeans these days is almost skin tight. I must have been in about 7 shops earlier and couldn’t find a suitable pair that don’t cling to me.

Is it silly to suggest that the reason they are designed this way is to appeal to the male glance? It certainly isn’t for comfort! You don’t see any men walking round in skin tight jeans.

Go to Bon Marche.
They do a vast variety of styles.
As they are aimed at the "mature" market they usually aren't tight.

I wear wide leg jeans and they aren't skin tight at all. I do think that alot of women's clothing is made for the male gaze(lech)

You either need to size up or find wider styles, there are plenty around now.

I don't wear skin-tight jeans. I see loads of people wearing wide leg or barrel leg jeans and I have no trouble finding non-skin-tight straight jeans.

There's a gazillion different styles of jean. Go for the high waist, flappy, mumsy ones

I’m afraid this was my first thought too, and a say that as a slightly plump woman.

Wide leg jeans are the fashion at the moment. I see much more of them around than skinny jeans.

Buy bigger jeans.

Baggy jeans are in at the moment? Ffs barrel leg jeans are in fashion, literal balloons on your legs. It's never been easier to find loose fitting jeans

Where are you looking? There are so many styles now. Even if you go to M&S they have lots of styles.

Where are you shopping? It's only skinny jeans that I have that problem with, all other styles are not tight fitting

Whoever designed barrel jeans certainly didn’t have the ‘male gaze’ in mind as they are hideous. And skinny jeans look bad on most people (and should never be worn by a male).

Weird because baggy, Mom, barrel, wide-leg styles are the most popular styles at the moment!

There are hundreds of styles of jeans. Some are tight fitting, others are baggy. M&S have loads, as do Next. You can also consider sizing up. Some women want to buy tight jeans, so there's a market for that. But you shouldn't have any problems finding other styles.

I did try a couple of wider legged pairs but they were still of a style which accentuates the rear.

Baggy jeans are more common at the minute so you need to size up or shop elsewhere. And YABU, women can enjoy figure hugging clothes for themselves too, not everything is about men

I ordered lying wear skinny jeans it ive lost nearly 10 stone in the last 5 years. It's definitely for me and no one else. I don't want to be looked at!

Skinny jeans aren't nearly as popular now. Many women are wearing wide leg or barrel jeans or loose linen pants.

Have you been shopping in a different decade? These are the jeans I’ve just bought from a charity shop… there’s nothing about them designed for the male gaze. There are so many different styles available to buy at the moment I’m struggling to work out how you’ve missed them.

Perhaps you just have a great rear then!

So you want a baggy arsed style ...buy bigger and belt, carrot tops, mum jeans there are literally loads.
