To think Palestine Action isn't a terrorist group?

I don't agree with what they've done (breaking into military bases to vandalise planes), but I don't understand why they're being proscribed. Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil have caused far more damage to property and general annoyance.

Arrest and prosecute the people who commit criminal acts, absolutely, but this is setting the bar for branding protestors "terrorists" far too low.

Calling those of us that oppose the genocide anti-semitic wasn't enough to stop us, so they have upped the ante to calling us terrorists.

The courts will soon be full, but unfortunately not with those who deserve to be there for the mass murder of innocent lives.

This absolutely

Funny how this is an act of terrorism for people, whilst flying these planes into Gaza and dropping them on innocent people -children, babies- is not terrorist but you know, defense….Such a fucked up world.

Have these planes flown into Gaza and targeted innocent people, babies, children?

User37482 · 23/06/2025 09:00

They have attacked the UK’s military assets. They also targeted Jewish businesses in Stamford hill and manchester so they are disgusting anti-semites too.

BarBellBarbie · 23/06/2025 09:02

Protesting military action by damaging military bases is not an act of terrorism, it is protest. Civil disobedience has a long and honourable history. Generally participants accept that they will suffer the consequences of their acts in being arrested and charged. But calling it terrorism is ridiculous.

You know what I meant here right?

Amy73838 · 23/06/2025 09:04

I hope the individuals concerned are identified, prosecuted and receive life changing prison sentences.

Yes, they're being useful idiots.

No, I genuinely don't know why you think these planes have flown into Gaza and killed innocent people?

Sorry but it’s true, a bunch of these idiots are now protesting on behalf of a regime that whips and blinds women. Fools.

Indeed. Useful idiot chestnuts 😂😂

No they are not terrorists.

This absolutely

Don’t do the attacks on military kit then. No point getting upset it’s illegal to support them after.

There is a world of difference between someone holding a sign, going on a march, carrying out a letter writing campaign, lobbying their MP, etc and carrying out the violent, criminal and destructive direct action that PA have devoted themselves to.

They 100% should be proscribed. They've crossed a threshold and they need to be stopped.

Unfortunately this sort of thinking gets us absolutely no where.

I think this specific case involves military bases and so terrorism is the correct description, however people politely waving signs and being mildly inconvenient doesn’t make change happen. It never has.

Women didn’t get the right to vote because people wrote some nicely worded letters to their MPs asking if we may please be included in democracy.

There have been plenty of marches for Palestine. Plenty of petitions. Plenty of letters to MPs. Last time I checked absolutely fuck all has changed. It’s the same with climate change protests. Things have to get a little uncomfortable for change to happen. Just not so uncomfortable we’re breaking into military bases.

HatsOffToThePigeons · 23/06/2025 09:06

It's not civil disobedience though. It's crossed a line. If we need to scramble planes and their engines don't work because some idiots filled them with paint, and we get invaded, we're not all going to laugh and go "ah, those rascals have been at it again."

Not random Jewish business. Proved the full
details before you post maybe…

Fitasafiddle1 · 23/06/2025 09:08

They are calling for the death of all Jews, openly and publicly. They are threatening and terrifying the Jewish community (as you can see on other threads) There is NOTHING peaceful about racist and religious hate, and we will not stand for it in this country. Yes they are absolutely an extreme criminal group that need to be shut down indefinitely.

We are not going to get invaded though. My concern is with the people who are getting invaded as British military is very unlikely to come to their assistance as we are sitting on the fence trying not to get involved and passively accepting that tens and thousands of people are being bombed or starved to death. This will be such a shameful patch on British history.

I wouldn't say throwing a bit of paint at a plane is serious damage. It needs a clean and a respray, not scrapping. Should they be prosecuted? Yes. Would I have cared if they'd been shot by the personnel responsible for securing the base? Only so far as it would affect those personnel.

Well next time you are going on holiday by plane , if paint has been thrown at it and it’s been damaged I expect youll be happy to get on it after its been wiped down then? If the paint has gone into the turbine/engine etc you’ll not want that checking at all?

Oh shit my bad, it’s totally fine to trash someone business of you suspect them of being in any way tied to Israel. Thats totally fine. Listen to yourself.

I’ve decided that I don’t like the actions of France in the Sahel, I’m going to trash any business that imports French goods or that has French ties.

Yeah doesn’t sound reasonable does it.

Vaxtable · 23/06/2025 09:11

They got into a military base, and damaged equipment that could defend us if needed

ergo they are terrorists
Simple really

and like ER and JSO don’t do something you are not prepared to pay the consequences for

Have you looked at their web site, they have been involved in a LOT of damage to properties, they have driven companies out of business and are proud of it. They deliberately target and persecute particular companies, their customers and suppliers, everything is planned in detail, why they have now attacked the RAF would be interesting to know, but I would bet it wasn't some random act. They have training days for their activists, that you have to be vetted to attend, I would like to be a fly on the wall there. I am a sympathiser to what is going on in Gaza, but I don't like this lot.

Fitasafiddle1 · 23/06/2025 09:13

This situation is getting out of hand. That much is obvious to everyone except you op.

Not tied to Israel. Tied to Israeli arms firms.
