Men with hands down the front of their trousers

Am I being unreasonable in thinking this is absolutely disgusting and unhygienic. I keep seeing young men out in public with one hand inside their trousers and very obviously on their dicks. My husband thinks it’s disgusting too and I rate his opinion.

The man in your scenario IS masturbating in all likelihood. He is touching himself

Ok so to be clear

whenever you see a man walking down the street, say like the Op with his dog, and one hand down his trousers…. You think he’s masturbating?

Ambaallen4 · 14/06/2025 17:00

Niceduck · 14/06/2025 16:52

masturbating in public is a crime; it is indecent behaviour.

walking along with your hand down your trousers is unsightly and gross but not a crime

however you seem to think the two inevitably go hand in hand

Having a hand down his trousers and fumbling his penis for whatever reason in public, is indecent behaviour.

As you can see, many women on this thread feel upset when they see men doing it

You never see women in public, sticking their hand down the front of their skirt, and touching their vagina for whatever reason. People would be horrified.

I think its indecent for him to have his hand down his trousers, touching his penis for ANY reason in public, yes.

No reason is acceptable.

If you saw a woman walking down the road, stop stick her hand down the front of her skirt, and touch her vagina. Would you think it is acceptable?

But I was talking about you saying you want to report to the police.

for what? For the possibility he is masturbating?

Acceptable, yes. Perhaps not ideal, and I certainly wouldn’t consider it masturbation.

Ok so….

you think hand down the trouser walking along is an offence. But you don’t report this offence because you’re “too nice” and don’t want to “ruin his life”

correct?

You again. Under a different name, but we all know who you are. Just put a sock in it, why don't you!?

So what would you report to the police?!! You said you’d want to report it to the police but you’re too nice!!

Yes i think im conditioned by society not to speak up about men, as a lot of women are. We are scared to speak up

No one reports men for doing this , (having hands down their pants, touching themselves)

We are all too nice, or too afraid to speak up.

There is a gender imbalance of power. Women also get afraid to report men because of past traumas. One time i was in a group in the past. A man was really sexually inappropriate to a lot of women. I reported it to the group leader and i was told that i was over reacting.

When that woman was seen touching herself on a beach, a man immediately reported her to police .

But report for what? What is the offence?

JohnTheRevelator · 14/06/2025 17:16

Urgh I see this frequently and I hate it. Also, men coming out of a public toilet doing up their flies. Do it inside the bloody toilet FFS. Or even worse, unzipping themselves before they actually go in the toilet.

Ambaallen4 · 14/06/2025 17:17

Niceduck · 14/06/2025 17:14

Indecent behaviour in public.

Touching your genitals in public is indecent behaviour.

KnittyNell · 14/06/2025 17:18

youworkedhard · 14/06/2025 16:12

No need for the sarcasm. I think what I meant was it wasn’t me being sensitive.

Just ignore all the man-haters.
I ask my husband’s opinion on many things, I like hearing things from a man’s viewpoint.

henlake7 · 14/06/2025 17:25

I think its one thing to have a quick adjustment or a sneaky scratch (men or women!) but to leave your hand down your pants, grabbing onto it like a toddler with a security blankie?
Nope...what happens if they let go? does it fall off?

Just another one of those mysterious, disgusting things that blokes do.
Like gobbing on the street, never seen a woman do that!

Niceduck · 14/06/2025 17:26

Ambaallen4 · 14/06/2025 17:17

Ok so if you think it’s an offence. One of indecent behaviour. You aren’t reporting because you think you’re too nice and don’t want to ruin his life?

OonaStubbs · 14/06/2025 17:26

This is something that really needs to be cracked down on. We need more police on the streets. If someone is seen doing it on CCTV they need to be arrested and charge with public indecency.

Yes! I've already answered this question three fucking times.

How many times are you going to ask me the same thing?

I said instead of being strong and reporting it, ive been conditioned by society to be nice and let these men get away with this behaviour.

Not a lot of other women report men for this either. It comes from being too nice, and also fear of repurcussions, and a worry that we won't be taken seriously if we do.

We all should be stronger about this behaviour

You wouldn’t want to ruin the life of someone you think is engaging in the criminal offence of indecent behaviour in public? Bloody hell.

if I thought this, then I wouldn’t worry about ruining that person’s life

You are so rude and ignorant.

If you can read , i also wrote that the reason women often dont report is because they are afraid they wont be taken seriously.

I wrote that i reported a man to a group leader once. The man was very sexually inappropriate. When i reported the man, wasnt taken seriously by the group leader at all
