Would this piss you off? DP comment on day out

Day out yesterday, historical seaside town with various lovely view points. DP a bit grumpy all day and not paying a lot of interest to anything. Anyway, at one particular location I asked him what he thought of the view and he said ‘not great really….hang on, it’s just got a lot better now’ just as an attractive woman walked past, and he joked about her bum being the highlight of his day so far.

A bit disrespectful, surely? I told him to shut up and he said I should lighten up and ‘have a laugh’

A man of few words ……..

Unless it is either about his “incredibly sexy” wife and their amazing sex life

OR

About how she is “dead below the waist”

I’m quite chatty actually, very convivial I’m told……

And a fantasist!

And a fantasist!

And all because I took the side of the man in the OP’s post , how very dare I!

😂👍

No it’s because you’re a fantasist and a liar!

You’ve got two wives, one dead below the waist and one a sex goddess.

😂 sorry I'd have laughed at the timing but obviously he should know better about how to talk about women being with his own partner

People will hate me for this but I think (excluding the obviously sexist/damaging/derogatory remarks), some women take things far too seriously.
Years ago, I remember being out with my husband and he remarked on how pretty a girl was when we had passed her. I queried his comment and his answer was “if I couldn’t recognise how attractive a woman is, I wouldn’t have noticed you’. And no, he wasn’t a sleeze bag. Neither was he a womaniser. He was one of the rare men who actually liked women, in the proper, not sexual, way. He had a female friend at a gun club he went to, but I never felt jealous. I met her at the club’s Christmas party and liked her. Funnily enough, she wasn’t unlike me in colouring and height (or lack if it!). She called me after he died and asked to visit. That was five years ago and she has since visited regularly and we are close friends now, My husband would be pleased. He was a handsome, loving, kind man and we had 57 wonderful years together before his death. To my certain knowledge, he never had affairs, and when they made him, they broke the mold. I was very lucky.

What a refreshing comment, my imaginary wife is just the same!

Which one?

Celeryindip81 · 13/06/2025 13:38

There is something deeply and profoundly satisfying about watching @Tristan5 make an absolute tit of himself! 😆

Celeryindip81 · 13/06/2025 13:39

Not going to respond to the ‘view’ comment but if any male who doesn’t have serious physical and/or mental health issues which mean they can’t lift the lid and seat on the loo to take a pee and can’t clean up if they misfire then I wouldn’t be having them in my house.

Celeryindip81 · 13/06/2025 14:16

@Tristan5 no one believes you are finding this remotely funny

what is funny though is that you won’t ever be able to successfully name change. You are so identifiable. The 47 year old man, married to an “incredibly sexy” woman, no children, spends most of his time on the mumsnet sex forum and occasionally lets slip that his wife has absolutely no desire to have sex with him

Which is something you clearly don’t do often..

With dead below the waist wife..

ERthree · 13/06/2025 14:29

How long ago did he move in ?

Tristan5 · 13/06/2025 15:02

Isn’t the weather just glorious?
Just perfect for a cool Diet Coke with imaginary friends in the garden, lovely! 👍

But still trying to get the last word ………

Tristan5 · 13/06/2025 15:29

What do you mean?

I forgot what we were talking about!

Oh I remember, the bored guy on a day out who saw an attractive woman who brightened his day.

And here we are, ten pages later……

Clockface9 · 13/06/2025 15:36

At least this thread has kept him preoccupied and away from the Sex forum
i guarantee he won’t ever be back there under this username

Yes, I was wondering this too. @JadeJ91, how long have you been together, and how long since he moved in?

Tristan5 · 13/06/2025 16:09

Your imaginations really are running wild, laughably so.

Just going to cut the grass now, my imaginary neighbours are getting a bit merry on the wine!

Just as long as you aren’t feverishly banging out posts on the sex forum

WhereHasMyPlanetGone · 13/06/2025 16:14

A 47 year old man spending a large portion of his time on the sex forum of Mumsnet is an odd choice, for sure 🚩
