Costa coffee use instant coffee to make there iced coffee drinks

surely at £4 a pop they should be coffee grounds or beans used to make an iced coffee?

Same. Costa is OK, but Nero is a lot better.

I prefer Nero but the staff in my local place are very miserable and often shout at the customers - so I don’t visit often

Those drinks cost more, so make more money. Plus, you could always go to a Costa machine in a supermarket or garage, and get your "normal" drink there.

But they take more time to prepare and there is more washing up which all adds to the cost - plus they create a queue that puts other people off waiting. I am pretty sure a black americano has the most mark-up from any drink - 2 ingredients and cost about £3.75!!!
