Shoplifting - have public scuffles with other customers become a thing??

Twice in the last week, I’ve witnessed members of the public stepping in to stop shoplifting, with pushes and scuffles breaking out. I had to call the police. It felt like shoppers are starting to get fed up, butt in, shout things, physically prevent people, push shoplifters and even scuffle.

Are other people noticing this elsewhere?

Actually those involved in the supply of drugs are more deserving of harsh punishment, i.e. drug dealers all through the supply chain, including the myriad of money laundering shops that police/councils turn a blind eye too, not to mention the entirely obvious open street dealing, and the cannabis farms in derelict buildings! We should have zero tolerance right through the supply chain and none of the authorities making excuses about "concentrating on Mr Big" to justify not dealing with it at street level.

I won hundred percent agree with you.

The drug dealers/traffickers ought to be shot. I fully support Thailand policy on that matter.
But they never seem to capture Mr. Big do they?
