No im not 🙄

i gave my opinion. Yes its not the same as everyone else’s.

how long does everyone else he shouldve got then?

If we must keep scum like this alive then they should get life. There is no place in society for this scum.

MarshaMarshaMarsha · 05/06/2025 21:14

If this was my dad I’d be absolutely raging at a sentence like this. Disgusting, his poor family.

jesihar · 05/06/2025 21:14

@SingleMama0upsetting opinion, but yours for whatever reason.

I would say that they should both have got at least twenty years. In addition this is the sort of case where the parents should be looked at as well. Prosecute them for art and part liability for failing to parent. If they are good people who have been running about trying to get help that’s their defence. Otherwise make them accountable and perhaps some of these people may start to parent their children.

Dandeliontea123 · 05/06/2025 21:14

It sends absolutely the wrong message. Kill someone weaker than you, you know there have been no consequences for local anti-social behaviour so far, film them while you laugh, show no remorse, get 7 years or a slap on the wrist.

MarshaMarshaMarsha · 05/06/2025 21:16

SingleMama0 · 05/06/2025 20:09

I think the sentence is ok tbh. Im local to this. It is terrible. I just hope the child is given lots of help and changes for the better in the time they serve. I think the girl should’ve also been charged too

Edited

So if it was your dad, husband or child killed you’d be ok with a 7 year sentence?

EmeraldRoulette · 05/06/2025 21:16

@SingleMama0 he's well above the age of criminal responsibility

So I would give him a life sentence.

there is so much about our justice system that needs a complete overhaul.

NightSweatsNinja · 05/06/2025 21:17

Life sentence. It was murder, plain and simple.

Acommonreader · 05/06/2025 21:19

This is devastating to the local area. I have family in Leicester and this has really affected the community.
There will be huge anger at these sentences especially the girls lack of custodial punishment.I definitely do not condone reprisals but realistically she will need to move from the area. I hope the sentences are appealed/ reconsidered if possible. Poor poor family . I cannot imagine how they feel after everything they have already been through.

Parsley1234 · 05/06/2025 21:19

@SingleMama0 from your obtuse remarks and being local to the crime what do you know that isn’t being reported ? One of your children friends with one of the murderers ? Clearly that 14 year old should be jailed for life and the other scum the same

knittasgonna · 05/06/2025 21:22

Some people don't deserve to live, or if you're soft-hearted, don't deserve to live among the rest of us. The motivation for the crime is less important to me than its brutality and senselessness. There is no reason for it, so one reason isn't any worse than another, imo. I can't imagine someone capable of such evil will ever contribute anything of value to society. The world would be a better place without him in it.

Are you for real? 7 years is 'ok'

Jesus.

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 05/06/2025 21:25

I understand that the perpetrators were children and that this would have been a mitigating factor, but notwithstanding their age, it is very hard to see how these sentences are in any way appropriate for a racially aggravated murder. I'm not really clear as to why they went for the lesser charge of manslaughter. The perpetrators were clearly old enough to understand what they were doing.

I really feel for the family. It must feel like there has been no justice at all.

JHound · 05/06/2025 21:26

BeliesBelief · 05/06/2025 18:09

And over in Dagenham, these two boys got 6 years and less than 3 years for burning an elderly, vulnerable man alive in his home after tormenting him for months.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3e5wqq523ko

“When Otitodilchukwu, of Romford, returned to his care home that evening,”

Of course he’s in a care home.

More irresponsible breeding and society picks up
the consequences

Cyclebabble · 05/06/2025 21:26

He could have been my dad. A kindly old family orientated dad. Hideously racially abused and murdered. The boy I think if he is out in 3.5 years will never see an adult prison. My family is a bit more fearful tonight. The law does not seem to protect us.

JHound · 05/06/2025 21:27

I don’t care if they are minors.

Those sentences are pathetic.

I'm interested to know what makes you think the sentence is about right.

PassingStranger · 05/06/2025 21:28

Who are the parents, name and shame. It's time parents were held to account when their children are going round doing this.
The country has got to change.

JHound · 05/06/2025 21:29

ginasevern · 05/06/2025 18:27

Killing someone should be classed as murder and the death sentence applied for cases where there is absolutely no doubt or mitigating circumstances. The scum quoted above will never be rehabilitated. I used to think very, very differently but now I'm just sick to my fucking stomach.

Murder requires intent.
You could punch somebody they slip, hit their
head and die. I cannot see why that would earn the death penalty.

Appalling low sentences. Like that kid who smashed his teacher's head into a concrete floor and got no custodial time at all. Because he has ADHD. Despite saying she deserved it.

RIP Mr Kohli.

7 years? How long do you think they should get? I think imo 7 years is a good sentence given the boy was 14 when the offence happened. My opinion. People make mistakes, stupid decisions when youre an adolescent. He did wrong. I think 7 years is fair

Those decisions don't normally involve beating a pensioner to death.
How do.this act as a deterrent to anyone else.

GingerPaste · 05/06/2025 21:35

Pair of utter bastards. Hope they eventually get what they deserve…

They should be named and shamed.

You think beating a pensioner, breaking his neck and killing him is ‘a mistake’? A ‘stupid decision’? That’s why so many kids are feral. Because they have people like you defending them. He should get life. You think being 14 is a mitigating factor? Did you beat pensioners as a 14 year old teenager?

A good sentence? He’ll be getting out just as he reaches adulthood, not remotely rehabilitated, and ready to begin his life as an abusive, violent man in earnest. This wasn’t a ‘mistake’ or a ‘stupid decision’. It was a vicious, calculated, cowardly attack by a pair of feral, racist kids. They should both be locked up for a couple of decades. And they should both be named so that those members of the public who don’t want to get beaten to death while walking the dog know to avoid them.

Exactly, it's people with views that like that bring up these feral kids. And to think this poster keeps trying to justify their views but hasn't yet once commented on the many posts which ask if they would feel the same if it was their husband, son, father or grandfather, who was brutally killed.

Reminds me of the mum on here, who posted to ask whether she should complain about a female teacher who was trying to hold her son back, because he'd got a gang and tried to beat up another child. The teacher was brave and did nothing wrong yet this woman could not see. Too many people who should not be having kids, having kids (usually with the state funding their lifestyles) and many being affected by their behaviour.
