I was messaging a guy I am seeing (early days) met on online dating and I said I’m just about to get a bath. His reply was ‘’wish I could be your little rubber ducky right now’’ With wink emoji. How would you respond ?!

Don't you mean duckpin? Or dickpic wasnt possible due to the amount of Mr (or Master) Batey bubbles in the bath - equally childish

It's interesting to see how a simple comment can spark such a strong reaction. Personally, I think some of the outrage might be a bit overblown when we consider the bigger picture. Everyone's different, and relationships really do start from various points, building connection in unique ways. Maybe what sounds 'unconventional' to one person could be endearing or even an inside joke to another.

It makes me wonder if there's an underlying assumption that men expressing any form of vulnerability or emotional 'softness' is inherently weak. The 'rubber ducky' idea, playfully or not, suggests a certain level of comfort with one's feelings. If a man cries or shows a more tender side, is he automatically perceived as 'less powerful'? Perhaps we need to challenge rigid ideas about masculinity and allow for a broader spectrum of emotional expression in relationships without immediately jumping to negative conclusions.

Why on earth are you asking complete strangers how to respond, just do what your heart or mind says
